The last thing Katniss needed was another cup of coffee, but try telling her that. "Coffee would be great," she said. A little more caffeine could only help with her need to stay awake. She didn't think Peeta would appreciate her falling asleep on him.
"I can't wait to taste this bread," she admitted. She couldn't help feeling a little proud of him, even if he wasn't really her boyfriend. Truth be told, sometimes Katniss forgot it wasn't real. Then there were her dreams. Those really confused things, but they also made it easy to dismiss her feelings as overflow from the dreams.
It wasn't like she was really developing feelings. That wasn't possible. Katniss didn't do feelings. Not those kind, anyway.
