It would be inaccurate to say that this was only a business arrangement for Katniss. However unlikely she was to admit it, she had grown fond of Peeta. It was more than just simple gratitude for everything he'd done for her and her family. Peeta had quite literally saved her life and, more importantly in her eyes, Prim's. That wasn't the only reason she cared for him, though. Peeta had many qualities she admired and even if this wasn't paying off for her family financially, she would probably still want to see him. At least, she'd definitely miss him if he wasn't in her life anymore.
The smell of the baking bread revived her, if only for a moment, and the smile on her face was genuine when he told her he was just pulling it out of the over. The coffee was gnawing at her stomach and a little food would probably be a good idea. She hadn't eaten anything for a few hours.
"I have good timing, then," she commented as she stepped inside. "If the smell is anything to go by, it's going to taste amazing."
