Rose frowned a bit, looking up at him. "You know I wouldn't trade it for the world, don't you? None of us would." Her life meant nothing until she'd met him. She'd been like a hamster, spinning mindlessly in a wheel, and he let her out of her cage.
"Of course it hurt, being alone again. But if that's the price of having the time I spent with you.." She was trying not to cry. Crying would not help her cause. It wouldn't make him less angry.
