Azula wore a too-short skirt, with knee high boots and a fashionable top. This time she elected to drive. She wanted to be in control. As she waited for Ty Lee to get to the car, she looked at herself in the mirror. She’d used makeup to hide the bags under her eyes, but she couldn’t hide the face of her mother staring back at her, over her shoulder. She abruptly turned her head, but no one was there. No..no …
She exhaled through her nose.
Ty Lee knew Azula wasn’t sleeping well, but not why. So she didn’t acknowledge it. Azula would tell her what was wrong when she was ready. The younger girl was wearing a tight pink top and white shorts, along with really adorable pink sneakers. She smiled at Azula when she got into the passenger seat. “Ready to go.”
Truthfully, Azula wanted to know what Ty Lee dreamed about first. As much as she wanted to ensure that the other girl wasn’t biased against her, part of her wanted to see if Ty Lee would make the choice, herself.
Her eyes fell to Ty Lee’s legs, then she started the car. “We’ll head to a mall by the beach. There should be appropriate swimsuits there.” Appropriately expensive.
Ty Lee crossed her legs when Azula’s eyes fell on them. She really liked the attention. “That makes sense. It should be pretty empty, apparently it’s a holiday.”
She nearly ran into another car when that happened, but recovered nicely. “Something involving bunnies.” She shrugged a shoulder, swerved around a bus, and spend down the street. She had this sudden, slightly terrifying idea. She’d have to talk to Zuko about it, though.
Ty Lee squealed a little, and covered her eyes. It was easier to deal with the insanity of Azula’s driving this way. “Lots of candy, too.” She approved of that.
“We can get some of that chocolate,” Azula promised. Like Ty Lee needed sugar. She didn’t mind though, there were things one could do, with chocolate. She wondered if Zuko would go for her idea. Or hell, if Draco and Ty Lee would. Shit.
“You know I love sweets.” Ty Lee said with a giggle, hands still over her eyes. “Maybe we can get lunch while we’re out, before we have to deal with the boys all the time.” She had no idea if she would like Zuko or Draco. She didn’t get much of a chance to talk to to Zuko before things got weird the one time she’d met him.
“Good idea.” It gave her more time to think on her sudden, mad plan. It seemed like a good idea, but was it really? And would the other three go for a double wedding?
“There’s a really nice little restaurant out by the boardwalk.” Ty Lee noted. “We passed it on our date, and the Internet says it’s really good food.” She smiled brightly at Azula, risking opening her eyes to look at her. . . person.
“Then we’ll eat there after we shop.” Azula turned into the mall at such a sharp angle her Mazda was on two wheels for fully half the turn. It righted itself, and she aggressively found a parking spot.
Ty Lee held on for dear life, eyes shut tight again. “Yay, we’re here.” Her voice was a little faint. She laughed and recovered herself, unbuckling and bouncing out of the car. “I can’t wait to see what you pick out.” Of course they would help each other in the changing room.
“I have some ideas. I’m thinking red. You’d look good in white.” She made a face. “or pink..” She could probably be convinced by pink. She got out of the car, and started for the mall, resisting the urge to take Ty Lee’s hand.
For all of two minutes, before it found the other girl’s and she threaded their fingers together.
Ty Lee squeezed her hand. “You know I like pink, and you look wonderful in red. It really suits you.” She smiled at Azula, hoping the vacation would help her find a little peace.
Peace would be wonderful, and Azula was relieved when Ty Lee didnt let go of her hand. Let people stare. She was happy. Azula made a beeline for a summer shop, with racks of swimsuits on display. She wanted a Ty Lee in something skimpy...
Ty Lee had no issue with that. After her dreams she didn’t want to be demure or classy at all. She wanted to be noticed, she wanted attention. She picked out a cute pink and black one that was just barely decent. “How about this, Azula?” She held the top up against her chest to give the other girl an idea of how it would look.
Azula stared at it, realizing this could backfire. The last thing she needed was Ty Lee soaking up everyone’s attention...but she couldn’t stop it if it happened and she wouldn’t if she could. She could be a selfish bitch, but she didn’t want to control or change Ty Lee. Her lover/bodyguard had always craved attention.
She licked her lips. “...I like that one.”
Ty Lee smiled, unaware of Azula’s internal conflict. “Great! Now one for you.” She looked at the racks, before picking out a bright red suit that was almost as flashy as the one Ty Lee picked for herself. “How about this?”
“Not enough skin.” Azula folded her arm, then dropped a hand to her stomach. “...maybe something as flashy, but covers the bullet wound.” The one on her shoulder was faded enough it didn’t bother her, and her tattoo would just have to be exposed.
Seventeen, and two bullet wounds and a tattoo. Such is life.
Ty Lee nodded, and put the suit back on the rack. “Too bad we don’t have enough time to get one special made.” She stroked Azula’s face softly. “I think you’ll be beautiful no matter what you wear.”
“I want your breath to be stolen. Lets keep looking.” She put her arm around Ty Lee, closing her eyes at the hand on her face. She prayed that this all wouldn’t be taken away from her. Or worse, that she’d push it all away.
Ty Lee kissed Azula softly. “Okay. We’ll keep looking.” She wanted Azula to be happy. “There are probably some really sexy one piece suits.”
“...I hate one piece.” She scowled, but followed along. “Maybe one of those with my other side exposed?”
“That’s what I was thinking.” Ty Lee said with a nod. “Too bad it’s not a little lower, you could just cover it with a sarong or something.”
“Father has good aim,” she joked, but it sounded flat to her ears. “We’ll just need something with a lot of back and cleavage exposed, then.”
Ty Lee’s body stiffened at the joke. She felt a weight in her stomach, something she’d never experienced before. She wanted Ozai to hurt for what he’d done to Azula. Not just because he deserved it, or because he was a jerk, but she wanted him to hurt so she could see it, so he’d understand exactly what he did. She tried to shrug the feeling off. “Yes. Something really nice and low cut.”
She browsed for a minute, then picked one off the rack. “How about this?”
“Perfect...” … Azula fingered it, and then held it in front of her body, posing for Ty Lee. “I love it.” It was sexy and classy and covered up the scar.
It looked perfect. “You should try it on, just to make sure.” Ty Lee noted, smiling brightly. “I should try mine on too.”
“In the same dressing room?” Azula grinned, mischievously.
Ty Lee looked around at the mostly empty store. “Well, there’s no reason to take up two, someone else might want to try on a bathing suit, too.” She smiled brightly, before going to grab a salesclerk.
Azula followed her with her eyes, a ‘god I love you’ expression on her face. Then she was following with her feet, and trying to keep the ‘god I’m stupid for you’ grin off of her face.
Ty Lee couldn’t smile any harder. The salesclerk she tracked down showed them into a dressing room, and Ty Lee didn’t bother to wait until the door was closed to take her shirt off.
“Ty Lee! Those breasts are mine only.” Azula sounded like she was joking, and she was kissing the other woman against the mirror in short order.
Ty Lee giggled until Azula’s kiss made her be quiet. She stroked her hands down Azula’s back, groping her butt gleefully. The mirror was cold against her back, and she shivered because of it.
“Cold...” Azula’s breath was warm. “Do you want me to warm you up?” They were supposed to be trying on their swimsuits, but that could wait...
Ty Lee groaned softly. “I always want you to touch me.” Her words were soft. “But we’ll need to be quiet.”
“Can you?” Azula grinned as her hands slid lower, and she nibbled at the girl’s jaw. She didn’t think she could, and she was determined to embarrass her.
Ty Lee groaned softly. “Mean.” She didn’t mean it at all. “We’re going to get arrested.” She didn’t think she could keep quiet, either.
"We can bribe the cops." Azula laughed lightly, then pulled away and fixed her hair in the mirror. "But if you insist."
Troll level: Azula.
Ty Lee sighed, both out of relief and irritation. Oh well. It really would be more comfortable somewhere else. She slid out of her shorts and tried her suit on.
Azula watched, while changing, herself. Her scar twinged a bit, but overall, she felt like she was nearly back to herself. This vacation might do her some good.
The bikini fit and looked cute. Ty Lee helped Azula lace the back of her suit up, whistling softly. “It looks nice.”
She turned, slowly, inspecting herself in the mirror, but also in Ty Lee’s eyes. Then she got a good look at Ty Lee. “..wow...”
Ty Lee smiled. “I’m glad you like it, Azula.” She stroked a hand down Azula’s side, softly. “I don’t want you paying attention to any other girls.”
“.....” For some reason that meant more to Azula than Ty Lee could fathom. “I want your attention, and only yours.” Ty Lee’s fingers on her skin made her shiver.
Ty Lee kissed her again, this time for more than just erotic reasons. Azula made her heart ache, but in a really good way.
“Ty Lee....” Azula breathed the name like it was an oath, her fingers stroking down the girl’s face.
Ty Lee held her tight. “I’ve never felt this way before, Azula. You make me want you, but it’s more than just sex. I want to be with you all the time.”
Something unexpected happened to Azula. She felt warmth run down her cheeks. Warm wet tears as her arms wrapped tightly around Ty Lee. “I ....you....Ty Lee....”
Ty Lee understood, despite the important missing word. She held Azula tight. “I love you too. I want to see you happy. I want to make the world better so you can be happy all the time.”
Azula started to break down. She buried her face into Ty lee’s shoulder. The words were choked sobs. “I’m... sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry!</i>
Now Ty Lee didn’t understand what was going on. She stroked Azula’s back and hair, soothing her. “Shhh, you don’t have to apologize. It’s okay, Azula.”
“I do..I do you don’t understand..but I so.” She cupped Ty Lee’s face, looking at her through blurry vision. “I only ever trusted fear. I never trusted trust. You’ll see, and you’ll hate me for it, but I’ll love you anyway.”
Ty Lee met her eyes. “What are you talking about, Azula? I could never hate you for something you did in the past. You never hurt me.”
“Not here.” She wiped at her eyes, looking embarrassed and a little angry, though neither was directed at Ty Lee.
“Okay.” Ty Lee hugged her one last time before taking her swimsuit off.
Azula’s hands roamed over Ty Lee, before she pulled back and changed as well. The swimsuits were a success, even if she felt like she’d made a fool of herself.
Ty Lee waited until Azula wa changed to leave the room, bouncing up to the counter to pay for their things. It was only fair, since Azula paid for the rollerskates for their last date.
She let her, not wanting to insult or hurt the girl, especially after crying all over her. Azula remained subdued as they exited the mall.
Ty Lee took her hand again, not caring if it meant trouble. She just wanted to comfort Azula. She was so focused on that task that someone bumped into her, nearly knocking Ty Lee on her butt. She gasped and grabbed onto Azula for balance, before turning to apologize. Which was when she noticed her purse was gone and the guy was already out the door.
“What..?” Azula frowned, then started to chase after the man. A grin formed on her face. This was just what she needed to cheer herself up.
Ty Lee chased after Azula, giggling a little. That poor guy. “Don’t hurt him too much!” She yelled ahead.
The guy with the pink purse was racing toward a waiting car. He was pretty fast, much faster than the mall cops.
So was Azula. She took a flying leap over a railing and down the stairs before flame burst out of her feet, propelling her forward on an azure wave. She hit the guy in the back with her knee, with every intention of riding him like a surfboard on the pavement.
It worked out exactly that way. The man was too stunned to do much about it, and Auzla’s weight was just enough to keep him from righting himself. Ty Lee laughed and raced over, to help Azula up.
She snatched the purse back and handed it to Ty Lee like a conquering hero. “What a fool.”
Ty Lee clapped, and the guy laid still, hoping he wouldn’t be humilated anymore if he just stayed down. “Oh, you’re so brave, Azula.” Ty Lee said, smiling brightly. “I should reward you for saving my things.”
"What kind of reward do you have in mind?" Azula pulled Ty Lee against her.
Great, there were two underage girls making out right in front him. He was pretty sure he was going to get arrested, now.
Ty Lee shrugged, taking Azula’s hand again. “Something private. And naughty.”
Grinning, Azula kissed Ty Lee hard. “Lead the way, my damsel.”
Ty Lee bounced to the car, giggling brightly. “You’re amazing, Azula. My hero!"
Azula looked like she'd won the lottery, as she hopped into the car.
