Gaila stood in a small room, listening to what her Elders told her. There would be a ship provided, others, initiates like her but her role was the most important. She was the defense. She was the one meant for Starfleet. She was the youngest, not even an adult. The Federation would accept her.
She looked at her mother, smiling reluctantly. She knew the codes. She knew what was wanted, and needed. Most importantly it was an excuse to get away.
--
It was night. Gaila was careful to move silently, powering up her console and encrypting it. She sent one message.
Accepted into Starfleet. Contact will be infrequent.
--
It was so easy, she didn't even need her pheremones. Some men were chatty, when they'd just been screwed into exhaustion. (nice side benefit for her at least). She learned things about Starfleet computer systems and engineering technology that she otherwise would have gone to great pains to gain knowledge of.
The head of computer sciences at the Academy had been a particular coup. The potential scandel would keep him quiet, too.
--
"Gaila, Enterprise!" She bounced with excitement, grinning at Uhura, before running for the shuttle. She pulled out her padd, wiping her code from the system and covering her tracks. Cochise was a nice ship and all, but no Enterprise. She knew Uhura would correct matters. She had her nails in the Vulcan, something which Gaila had had no success in.
--
Gaila wiped blood from her eyes. everything below her waist hurt. She heard footsteps approach. Ensign Giles knelt to check on her, "I'll get help. Don't worry." As he stood, he noticed a console, and Gaila realized she hadn't had the chance to stop her program. He looked at it, then at her.
With sad eyes, she smiled at him, "Why don't you clear that out for me?"
"Of..of course." Giles quickly cleared the program, "What else..?"
She batted her eyes, and looked over to her left. Giles hesitated, then walked over to where she indicated, then fell forward, impaling himself onto a jagged piece of metal.
She'd probably bleed to death, but at least they wouldn't discovery her treachery. She was almost glad, she'd gotten tired of it. She just wanted to have fun, and she found she really liked Starfleet.
She woke up in sickbay. Sickbay during the battle with Nero was controlled chaos, but she observed McCoy as he mastered the sickbay. It was kind of hot.
--
The report was the lightest she could give, with the most basic detail she could think of. She still had to include the scans of the Narada - those would be expected - but she glossed over most everything else.
With the missions the Enterprise would be going on, she'd have little opportunity to report in. Just the way she wanted.
The console beeped, and she read her new orders, before deleting them. Schematics for the Enterprise...
She'd have to go through the Chief Engineer.
