Where: A cafe
rating: Pg!

Sada hadn’t seen her cousin in ages. She was all but running to the bus stop so she could meet up with her at the coffee shop she’d picked out. Someone was going to get hugged.
Yukale was studying the coffee shop as she walked up to it, running her fingers through her hair. She wore a t-shirt with cut off sleeves and a raven hand painted onto it, and a pair of skinny jeans she’d found the day she’d arrived in town. She looked around, bouncing on her heels excitedly. She hadn’t seen Sada in ages.
Sada spotted her cousin and ran toward her, giggling and jumping on her to wrap her arms around her. “Eee, you’re really here!”
Laughing, Yuka hugged Sada back and spun around with her. She was a few inches taller (and a few years older) than her cousin, and took full advantage of it by ruffling her hair. “You look so good!”
Wrinkling her nose, Sada couldn’t help but laugh. “You do too. I’m glad you’re here, though!” Sada didn’t have much in the way of a nuclear family, but her grandmother had made sure that she was close to her cousin by dragging her over to her house once a week.
Yuka still had fun memories of singing and playing together. She really hated that they’d stopped talking as much as they’d used to. That, clearly, would need to be fixed. The idol let go of Sada and led her into the cafe. “I’m told that they have an amazing cheeseburger here! We can indulge. Just don’t tell my agent.”
“You can exercise more later if they yell at you.” Sada rolled her eyes. “I like my agent. She’s excited I’m going to get married in London.”
Ooops.
Nearby, several eardrums burst from the force of Yukale’s squeal, and her hug threatened to cut off circulation from … well all of Sada.
Sada winced, laughing happily and bouncing with her cousin. “I think you’ve angered all dogs within a mile.”
“They can deal.” Grinning, Yuka sat down. “How long have you been seeing her?” She leaned forward, all ears.
“Not too long, but ... I don’t know. Finding my heart is just ... it just happened.” Sada grinned, looking down. “I met her at a tea shop.”
"You would," Yuka said, cheerfully. There was a glint in her eyes. "Was it like you looked into her eyes and knew?" She pretended to swoon.
"Or was it like you were friends and then one day you realized your heart had snuck up and tied you to her?"
Sada laughed. “We flirted straightaway, but neither of us thought we liked girls. So we just ... struck up a friendship, and by the time we kissed, there were fireworks.” She bit her lower lip. “That sounds terribly silly, doesn’t it.”
“Unh uh.” She shook her head. “I was friends with Kiska for like..a couple of months, before we kissed. There were so many fireworks that I wondered why I hadn’t done that right off! I hope..some day..that I can find that again, but I’m happy that I was able to experience it at all.”
“You will.” Sada sounded determined because she was. She wanted her family to be as happy as they could be, and that meant being happy and loved.
“As long as I have you and my music I think I’ll be okay. Though if I was being honest, I just like doing all the stunts in the music videos.” She giggled. “I once joked about quitting and becoming a stunt woman and my agent about had a heart attack!”
“You know how it is. Once an idol, always an idol.” Sada rolled her eyes, curling up closer to her cousin. “It’s part of why I moved here.”
"So you really mean to stay?" Yuka pouted, then smiled. "Good. I heard you got a role in a movie over here? Is it a good one?”
“I do mean to stay, especially after Alice and I are wed.” Sada smiled, curling her legs under herself. “I did! I’m a murderess. I’m in the first film now, we’re shooting it, and I’m already signed on for the second one.”
"That's awesome! Do you need another victim? I totally volunteer!" Yukale grinned at her. "I'm so happy for you!"
“I’ll see if the second one has been cast yet, that’d be wonderful!” Sada kissed her cousin’s cheek.
Yukale grinned. Her agent would kill her, but she didnt care. "I hope it's gruesome!"
“Oh, it will be, it’s one of those thrillers that horror fans like too because it’s so bloody.” Sada waggled her fingers. “I use torture devices, of course. Why don’t murderers just shoot people in films nowadays?”
“Because it’s boring and the movie would be over in ten minutes,” Yukale suggested, eyes twinkling with glee. “Would this work?” And she made a mock horror face.
“You look like you saw a mouse!” Sada couldn’t help but giggle, hands over her mouth in glee.
“Oh. Well I’ll have to work at it then.” She laughed, bouncing in her chair. “It’s hard to really look horrified right now.”
“Of course it is, you’re happy.” Sada grinned, reaching out to steal a sip of her cousin’s coffee.
“It’s a nice change, being happy.” Yukale’s smile was wistful. “I look forward to more of it.”
