On Monday nights, Mrs. Higgins went to her senior citizens club meetings, which meant that Obi-Wan was on his own for dinner. She had offered to cook him something before leaving, but he politely declined, saying he had to go out himself--which wasn't true in the sense that he had anywhere specific to be, but was very honest about needing to get out of the house for a while.
Quick though he had been in taking to domestication, he knew he would always be a vagabond at heart, and occasionally indulging himself was a necessary part of fending off cabin fever.
At least, that was what he'd been telling himself since his afternoon in the warehouse with Kitty.
So he'd spent the evening pretending he had no where to be, wandering aimlessly and happily through the streets by foot. He deserved to by aching and bedridden after the warehouse shenanigans, but instead he felt light and youthful. Leaping from a sixty-foot building will do that to a man.
Around seven o'clock, he decided he was hungry and quite innocently entered a diner that he was completely unaware that the lovely Jean Grey was beginning her dinner.
