Honestly, Jean was starving and exhausted, so she would contend she wasn’t particularly lovely at the moment.
Getting back into the flow of work was more of a struggle than she’d like to admit. John had taken very good care of her in his own fashion during her illness, and she’d had a share of cabin fever of her own. The doctors all were surprised just how nasty the flu had been this year, and Jean had experienced it first hand. Still, by day three she was ready to get out badly, so getting back in the OR had been eagerly anticipated. At the end of her shift though she could barely keep her eyes open, and it was only because she knew her body needed protein that she was forcing herself to eat a small dinner before going home and crashing for a good bit.
Even so, she smiled widely when she saw her friend enter the diner. “Obi-wan! It’s so good to see you, please, come sit!”
