Jack sighed and chased after the dog, narrowly avoiding crashing into the young woman when Janet darted between her legs. He lunged forward and managed to snatch hold of her collar long enough to clip the leash back into place. As much as he loved the dog, she really could be a handful sometimes. "It's just a squirrel! You've seen millions of them before!"
Turning back around, Jack smiled and apologized to the brunette. "Sorry about that. She's really a sweet little girl, but Janet can be a right pain in the ass when she's all riled up. You're okay, right? She didn't run into you or anything?"
