Pietro listened to her, frowning lightly. He felt as though she wasn't telling the whole story. Or perhaps she was making it sound better than it had been. "Don't," he said after a quiet moment. "There's nothing to be sorry about. I promise." He'd always seen himself as her protector and being back in her presence only made it come back out with a vengeance. "I'm not angry at you. I'm just happy you're alright. And that I found you."
He smiled when she brought up a reading. A bad joke was better than no joke. "You can, if you want. Or you can just talk about yourself. I..." he faltered, "There's so much to catch up on."
