Link's dreams of a land far away were still few and far between, but he could not deny the instant connection he'd fallen into with Navi. And he did think of her as a mom-type figure, partially because he'd lost his own mother not very long ago, but mostly because Navi was just that kind of person. In the best sense of the word, she smothered him with affection, and Link was happy that there was some semblance of a family in his life once again.
Doorknobs, however, were not his friend at the moment. It was hard to work one while balancing on crutches. Whent he door opened, he quickly tried to erase the scowl that had appeared on his face an greet Navi with a welcoming smile. He was a little confused to see her alone. He'd thought her husband was coming along. "You're gonna have to forgive me for not coming out to carry in your things."
