Percy gave a nod at the question, and then a pause and a shake of his head at the next. "No one put it there," he said quite firmly. "No one would have known to -- I mean, just the timing--" He stopped himself from going on any longer, pausing to try and put his thoughts into proper words. "I know where everything is in my apartment. It wasn't there when I went to bed. And it was when I woke up."
And then he shook his head again. "I haven't used it. I've hardly touched it." In fact, he only had once total -- when he picked it up the first time. Since then, the wand had been on his mind, but it had never occurred to him to actually think of touching it again, let alone try to use it. He laughed, then. "How silly would I look waving a stick around and pretending at magic that doesn't exist?"
