Oliver nodded in agreement, his hand rubbing large gentle circles across Verity's back. Since their conversation things seemed to be growing more and more comfortable between them. Whether that was because they had a better understanding of one another or it was easier to pretend and forget as time passed, Oliver wasn't sure. He'd spent so long forcing himself not think about his past that it felt second nature to ignore his issues. With Verity in tow, however, and now Percy's secrets and this Hermione lass... He was more confused than ever.
But Verity was, as always, a grounding support and she felt more and more natural in his arms day after day.
