"God, it smells like heaven," Verity said, meaning the food, not Oliver!musk. Though, that was pretty fantastic, too. Whatever it was, his soap, his aftershave, his body smell... it was great. But the pancakes smelled delicious, and Verity was hungry.
She turned carefully into his arms, using caution to make sure she didn't accidentally tweak his shoulder, or put any more pressure than was absolutely necessary on his leg. And then she hugged him. Tightly, enjoying the feel of having him wrapped around her. She sighed, deeply. Felt like home.
"Good. Long. Boring." She said, grinning. She really did love her job, even on days when seemingly nothing happened. "Amazing turn-out here tonight."
