Sarah was on her way back from a job interview. She’d felt it had gone well, but they always went well, and no one seemed to be hiring. Most of the jobs were trash, anyway, and she’d prefer something more along her field of expertise. The training she’d recieved in the army, you’d think, would help in finding a job.
Maybe she should be looking in different places.
Glimmer didn't even notice the girl until she stepped into her line of focus and blocked her shot. Lowering the camera in her hand she looked up at the person blocking her view. "You mind?"
“Huh?” Kerrigan turned and and looked at the girl with the camera. She ran her hand through long red hair and looked down at Glimmer, eyebrow raised. “Sorry. I didn’t see you there.”
Glimmer shrugged as it really wasn't a problem. "Wasn't important anyhow just testing things out. Haven't see you around here before."
“I came down for an interview.” She pointed across the street. “First time in this area. Are you professional?”
Ah, it was a reasonable excuse. "Just a want to be professional." She admitted with a shrug.
"I'm sure you'll get there." It was better than not knowing what you wanted to do. Wandering in the wilderness, as it were.
“Maybe if not well, at least I tried and I can still do it and enjoy it. It really has effect when my boyfriend uses his computer to turn them into a panorama projection thing.” It really made it special, to view a photo like that.
“Like a 360 thing? Sounds like he’s got some skill too.” Kerrigan had some experience with that, but that had been observing others in the field with intel. She suppressed some annoyance at it only ever being observing.
“Yep. Yeah, he has a lot of skill with technology. Not me so it’s good to know someone like that. Even my computer hates me most days.” It really was a pain to have to use so much technology outside her camera.
Kerrigan shrugged a shoulder. "I'm a hardware girl. Did a lot of the repair work when something electronic broke. I'm not sure to want that to be a career though."
Glimmer sat back on her haunches a moment and stared at the woman. “Why is that?” She asked even though it really wasn’t any of her business.
“I don’t know. It’s a good place to start, but once I figure out what I actually want to do, I want to do that. Whatever that might end up being.”
It seemed like a good idea though Glimmer was used to the ideas of adults just knowing what they wanted to do. Maybe that was just something they wanted kids to always think, that they always had all the answer. “Well hopefully you’ll find it!”
"Thanks. I'll let you get back to your picture taking." Sarah nodded her head, and turned to go.
"Okay, see you around then." Glimmer said with the slightest hint of a smile.
