Mako - Huntington Beach
Volleyball season was more in the summer -- but that didn't matter much to Mako, who just genuinely enjoyed the sport. It was a little lame as far as sports went, he knew that (or at least thought so), but it was fun, and not as terribly intensive or stuffy as other sports.
Maybe he had to wait to play it in a more professional atmosphere, but the best thing about California was that it was always warm enough to just have a casual game somewhere. He'd just finished up a fun impromptu game with some complete strangers, and was heading back to his little stash of personal items that he'd left on a nearby picnic bench.
