Korra had Naga with her when she'd gone out for a jog that day. The dog loved running, and Korra was never able to deny her oversized white retriever.
When they'd started their run, Naga had been leashed, which always made her a bit sad. When they'd been at home in Colorado, the dog was never leashed. She was so well-behaved that she didn't need to be. In California, many people would chastise Korra -- openly -- if she ran without one. Had they ever even seen a well-trained retriever? Apparently not.
About 10 minutes into their run, Korra decided enough was enough -- Naga was too upset to be on the leash. She let the dog go running with her past the hospital, but stopped when she realized Naga had stopped to investigate someone. The big retriever was sniffing at John curiously, and then barked at him happily.
"Naga!" Korra called, but the dog looked at her then back to John. She wasn't moving. The girl jogged back over to her dog and smiled apologetically to John. "I'm so sorry, usually she listens to me."
