Juliet's mouth hung open for a minute as she let Ben's words sink in. She felt sober now in the presence of that gun. She wanted to take it and throw it away, hide it from Ben, but she restrained herself. Juliet was a woman of constant restraint.
"You're right. I would have," Juliet replied coldly. "I don't understand why you think you need a gun, Ben. We live in Irvine, for god's sake! It's the safest place in the country to live."
