It was in a slightly begrudging manner that Fleur allowed him to pull away, the sweet taste if his lips still lingering on her own, leaving her wanting more. It took a split second for her brain to process the gentle weight of the box in her hand and before she could fully his lips found her's again.
And then he was on one knee and it actually began to set in as did the tears. Happy tears born from the overwhelming sense of joy. If it had been his intention of catching her off guard he had certainly done than. Other girls probably would have anticipated it, or demanded it even, but Fleur had never been that type. It was more special this way.
For a moment she let her gaze flitter from Bill's perfect face to the ring resting in the tiny box. It sparkled even in the dim lighting of the walk and the multicolored light of the fireworks. The ring was also strikingly familiar as she had seen it in her dreams. It was perfect.
Only a moment had passed before Fleur's eyes found Bill's again. She couldn't help but smile brightly as she brushed away some of the tears with the pads of her fingers. Then she gave him the only answer she could phantom, "Yes."
