Verity nodded, though she didn't move to leave his arms. She left hers wrapped up and around him, the jacket that he'd given her dangling precariously off of her shoulders. She knew what she wanted, but she knew that it was impossible. It wasn't what he wanted, and even if it was, he was leaving in a couple of months. That definitely wasn't what she wanted. To lose him. To be heartbroken.
But he was right. Why couldn't they just enjoy the time they had together? She knew it was going to end, but she didn't have to be so afraid.
"Yes. Let's." She said, then leaned up and in and kissed him again.
