What emotion do I use...?

It had been awhile since Meetra had last seen her friend, and she had a great deal of news to impart. She dropped by Michiru’s place by surprise. Hopefully she wouldn’t find her friend wrapped up with Haruka.
She hadn’t been wrapped up in her, she’d been busy cleaning the house whilst Haruka had been out at a race. For all her glory, Haruka could be a bit messy at times. When Meetra came in she smiled and instantly went to give her a hug. “Meetra!”
"Michiru!" Meetra hugged her back tightly, even having enough strength to lift her into the air a bit. Then she sneezed, "You smell like dust and lemon lime! Haruka leave a mess again?"
“Yeah, huge mess...” Pulled away from the hug and set to taking off the apron and sponge in her hand. “For such a clean cut guy, he can be a bit of a messy wart.” Pulled her hair down from being in a bun and led her to the kitchen. “Can I offer you a drink? I was about to put a pot of tea on. And I just finished making some cherry and vanilla sweet buns.”
Meetra giggles, "Tea sounds great. It sounds like my timing was perfect." She took her coat off and hung it up, before following Michiru into the kitchen. She leaned against the table and watched her, "You're quite the home-maker. Do you like it?"
It took her a short while to answer, not because the response was hard to give, but because she always took great patience in making her tea. It was a tradition her grandfather had, had; it was a tradition she’d keep. When the tea was measured and the water set, she turned to finally give the answer. “I do... Actually. I really, really do. I always feel there is something missing. Or someone.” Ran a hand to brush her hair behind her ear. “There’s always a little girl in the dreams he and I have... And I can’t help but get the feeling that. Well, that she’s very important. Like... Like we raised her as our own.”
Leaned over to grab the sweet buns and offered one to her. “It’s like... We have this circle, with Haruka, Setsuna-san, myself... But there’s something missing. And it all leads up to her.”
"I suppose that makes sense. Things feel off without certain people..." Meetra replied. "You'd make a good mother figure, too."
She took a sweet bun and took a bite as she thought about it, "You could adopt. No one would object over that. Well no one that would matter."
It might get weird when the kid got older and had questions about 'daddy', but she figured anyone raised by these two wouldn't have problems with that sort of thing.
“I guess we could, but there’s the legal issues.” Looked to her after taking a sip of tea. “But, you know. The poor kid would have to suffer with having you as an aunt so... I don’t know if I can put that kind of burden on a child.” Is doing her very best to keep as straight a face as she can get. “It’s bad enough being your friend.”
Bit her lip harder to keep from laughing.
"I'd be a terrific aunt! I'd spoil him or her rotten," Meetra assured her. "The legal issues aren't as big a problem in this state, I don't think. I don't know about laws in Japan though."
She waved a hand, force smudging a sweet roll into Michiru's face, and smirked.
Michiru flailed and grabbed at one of the rolls that had the most filling (she made them, she knows which), and shoved it against her forehead. She made sure the stuff oozed out before jumping back to grab something for safety. Grabbing the handle of something she held it up and what she saw made her face drop. A whisk.
“The child will grow up insane!”
Laughing, Meetra wiped at her face, "I can curb the insanity, or do I need to point out magical transformations? I'll have you know I was a good teacher of other Jedi!"
“At least we look good! And the magic comes in handy... Don’t make me Deep Submerge your face!” Held the whisk could whilst reaching around for the squeeze bottle of the filling. Once in her hand she aimed.
Meetra grinned, shifting into a more comfortable position and taking a bite out of another bun. She held up her hand, putting up a force shield between her and her friend, "Lets not go crazy, okay? Haruka isn't here to watch us have a filling fight."
“He’d have a bit too much fun watching...” Set everything down and eased into the chair beside her. “How goes things in your love life? Any bow chicka happening? Will I be an aunt soon?” Making fun of her sex life and subtly poking fun at her weight at the same time!
"My love life is fine," she replied, blushing slightly. "No aunt, but I will be moving in with him. I met his father." She let the jab at her weight roll off of her.
“Ooh~” Smiled and leaned back in the chair. “Wonder what’s going on there. You need condoms? Haruka and I have a few in a backpack somewhere when we walked into a health clinic. Sometimes health clinic people are scary. She was like YOU NEED CONDOM? CONDOM?”
"We're good." Meetra held up a hand as if to ward off a sudden barrage of contraceptives. "Keep the condoms. Use them as balloons!" She grinned at Michiru.
“Oh my god!” That reminded her of something horribly disturbing she saw online. She grabbed her laptop and sat beside Meetra. Typing up “Ballooning fetish” into google and pushing the buttons for images she covered her face. “I saw that our manager had this on his browsing history when he asked me to check an email for him...”
Meetra grimaced and waved a hand, force hitting the escape key. "I really, really don't want to know!"
Began to giggle like hell and accidently hit a button that played something she’d never seen before. “Oh... My... God. My laptop filmed...” Turned several shades of red that one of her and Haruka’s more kinky sex times had been filmed on her laptop. 7 hours of it to be exact. When did this happen and how...?!” Part way in the video she saw the ends of little ears and whiskers. “DAMMIT POSEIDON!”
Meetra tilted her head, her eyebrows rising past her hair line as she examined the video. "Fascinating. Just hope that never gets uploaded somewhere, Michiru. That's one way to blow Haruka's cover."
“Easy way to deal with that. She shifted her hands and actually simply clicked delete. “Would rather his cover not be blown, that would be problematic...” Closed the laptop and sighed. Something was heavy on her heart, and she didn’t know if she could say it or not. “Meetra...”
"Assuming it hasn't been uploaded already," Meetra teased lightly. She rested a hand on Michiru's arm. "Yes?"
“My father passed away a few days ago... I’ve not told anyone because I don’t know how I feel about the letter he sent me.” Sucked in her breath to hide the confused tears.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." Meetra pulled Michiru into her arms. She understood what it was like to lose a parent.
Pushed into the embrace. “I’m just confused... He was always so critical of me. And... We never got along well. But the letter was actually a stack of them. Saying all the times he fet proud to be my father... And the most recent was that he approved of Haruka and wanted to be there for a wedding but would have to settle with being there in spirit.” Looked up to her. “What emotion do I use...?”
"Sadness and joy," Meetra replied, smoothing down Michiru's hair gently. "Sadness at the loss, but joy in knowing that he was proud of you. Some people just can't say with their voice what they feel in their heart. But they feel it, and they know it, and he clearly wanted you to know it too."
Michiru let herself feel and let the tears fall. “Why did he hide it... I hated him at times. And yet.” Gripped tight around her and tried hard to keep from pulling them onto the floor.
"Stubbornness. Perhaps he loved you so much he wanted to push you to be better and better." Meetra pulled her into her lap, and rubbed at her back. "Some men are really bad at showing emotion, too. Maybe he just didn't know how."
“Then that means I was the horrible step-daughter and it’s my fault.” covered her face with her hands and cried into them.
Meetra murmured soothingly. "It's not your fault, honey. It's not, and it never was. He loved you and he was proud of you and that's something you can cherish for the rest of your life."
Huffed out a few times before letting her shoulders droop. “I should probably tell Haruka...”
Meetra nodded her head, her tone as though she were gently instructing a padawan. "Yes, you should. She...he deserves to know. This is an important part of your life. You should tell him."
“I will...” She sighed and tight around where she could reach, pushing her face to her neck. She didn’t like seeming weak in front of anyone but Haruka, so Meetra should feel hugely honoured. When she’d had her time to cry, she pulled away and wiped her eyes off. “Thank you. You’re a wonderful friend.”
Meetra wrapped her arms around Michiru. "I'm glad to have met you."
“And I, you...” Michiru smiled, relishing on how blessed her life seemed now.
