“Your first job is to take the Star Seeds from those two!”
At the Golden Queen's command, the two newly-traitorous Senshi rose to their feet. Pluto could scarcely believe what she was hearing, what she was seeing... how could Uranus and Neptune turn on them so easily? What would their Princess think?!
“Why do we have to fight against each other?!” Oh, for the Time Key to still be in one piece... with it, she might've had a chance against them. “Did you throw away your pride as Sailor Senshi?!”
Galaxia seemed almost amused, leaning on the arm of her chair for a better view. “With those bracelets, Uranus and Neptune are under my control. Now, get them! Show me your allegiance!”
“Why are you doing this!?” Even as she said it, Pluto dropped into a fighting stance, mirroring Uranus and Neptune. She wasn't giving up without a fight, no matter how hard that woman tried to make it.
“You know why!” Neptune's voice was the coldest she'd ever heard it, almost sending a chill down her spine. How was this the same woman she'd been fighting alongside mere minutes ago? What had Galaxia done?
“This is how we fight...” Uranus may well've been smirking, revelling in the power the bracelets sent coursing through her body. There wasn't a need for any more words – she and Neptune lunged for their former comrades, only barely missing.
Saturn's panicked gasp almost tore right through Uranus, right into that part of her that still held some virtue, but the power of the bracelets more than covered it up. Pluto barely dodged Neptune's attempted blow, more than a little disturbed by the look in her eyes.
“Pluto!”
“Yes, I sense it too... they're serious!” What had she gotten her adoptive daughter into...? This wasn't right. Senshi or no, Saturn was still a child... a very powerful child. Maybe, just maybe, they'd have a chance...”Then we won't hold back!”
“We'll fight until our lives burn out!”
Galaxia's smirk was clear, even across the battlefield the Cauldron had become. “Good! Watching a deadly battle between the Guardian Senshi of the same star makes me more excited than anything else...”
So, she was getting some sick thrill out of this. No wonder she'd destroyed so many worlds, taken control of so many soldiers...
“Now, let us see...”
“...Your Star Seeds!”
It was almost sickening to see Uranus and Neptune's banter twisted into something quite so evil.. when they fired their bracelets, Pluto and Saturn merely closed their eyes and took the blast. If this was the way the two of them wanted to fight... so be it.
When the golden light faded from the chamber, their Star Seeds hovering before them, Pluto became aware of another presence. A gentle, loving presence, just behind them... not their Princess. Not now. She didn't have to see this, see how far her guardians had fallen...
As their bodies faded, their Princess ran to them, kneeling before them. “Pluto! Saturn!”
And through all the effort it took, Pluto managed to speak. “It's okay, Sailor Moon..”
“Please! Don't forget to believe in yourself!”
With that, the fragile forces holding their bodies together dissipated, dissolving into the ether. Sailor Moon cried out their names, almost managing to tug at Uranus's heart, but it was to no avail... her two former guardians held Saturn and Pluto's Star Seeds in their hands, stood on opposite sides of the Golden Queen's throne.
“I was waiting for you, Sailor Moon!”
When Sailor Moon turned, and saw them, they could see their Princess starting to crumble before them. Not her friends, not them... “No... this isn't true, is it? Uranus! Neptune! Why!?”
