Who: Rarity and Setsuna
What: Confessions and yelling at Setsuna.
When: 2am on the 17th, Nov.
Where: Setsuna's flat.
Rating: PG-13 for slight violence, drinking, and excessive swearing.
Status: Complete!

Rarity had taken the taxi, choosing not to walk there drunk because Setsuna’s place was far. Once there, she paid the man and stumbled out and onto the ground because walking drunk in heels doesn’t really work. She slid them off and carried them up the three flights of stairs to get to her flat and pretty much banged on the door.

She was going to talk to her dammit. Was going to scream and bitch and do everything that Setsuna had denied her by breaking up with her over the phone. When it took longer than expected to have the door answered, she banged her fist even hard. “Se...” Swooned and had to support herself with the door frame. “Setsuna! Get... Get here and open this door!”

Setsuna better open the door fast or she’d try and walk in. She lost count at how many drinks she’d had. But it was enough to get her three sheets and a pint to the wind.

This was rather what Setsuna had wanted to avoid. Drunkenness wasn’t conducive to talking like adults, which was more what they needed right now... still. She could take it. Even though it’d likely be awkward and terrible and all manner of awful.

She opened the door all the same, arching an eyebrow when she saw her. Drunk was one thing, but this was a little beyond that. “You don’t have to break my door, you know...”

“Hmm.. Break my heart, I break a door. Yeah... Not a fair trade.” She lifted a hand and slapped her clean across the face before point a finger at her. “You... You acted like a coward. At... At least you could have had the decency to... To..”Held her head for a second after dropping the shoes to the floor. Of which one landed right on her toe and she yelped out a long string of words. “Fucking shit ow goddamnit cunt shoes ow!”

After the swearing she pointed back to her with renewed determination. “You have could... er Could have had the decency to tell me in person. But you chose the coward way out. You didn’t want to deal with the shitfest that would have happened and you chose the easy way out.” Glared at her through the stupor glaze over her eyes. “You’re a bitch.” A bitch that she still loved, but she wasn’t about to admit that just yet.

The slap hurt, Setsuna wasn’t about to deny that, but a few weeks of living almost exclusively as Pluto meant it was far easier to hurt the pain. Something about being her seemed to make it... easier, somehow. Perhaps being the forbidden guardian wasn’t all bad.

“I didn’t want to do it in person, because I couldn’t have. Over text was... the easiest way of doing it.” Much as she hated to admit it. She’d been hoping it could’ve been done another way, done at a better time, but things had simply mounted up too quickly. “I just didn’t want you getting hurt because of me. Because of what I’m meant to be.”

“That’s bullshit and you know it!” Threw her hands up to slam against either side of the wall, Rarity may also be growling. Sure, she didn’t know exactly what was going on, she was unaware of Senshi business.

She held her head again. “I scared you off. I took it too far and you panicked. As fucking usual it’s my fault. You fucking hate me. Well. Guess what I fucking ha-aa...” Dammit, she couldn’t finish that sentence, she wasn’t about to lie. She’d done enough lying about her feelings. So instead of speaking she took to punching and slapping at Setsuna’s person in frustrated rage.

Thankfully, drunk people weren’t exactly coordinated enough to do much damage. Setsuna caught her hands at the first opportunity, shaking her head. “You didn’t scare me off. I can tell you right now that it had nothing to do with anything you’ve done... you were nothing but amazing for me.”

That was part of why it’d hurt so much to do, why she hadn’t been able to face her in person.

“It... It hurt so bad.” Tried to pull away, desperate to get control of the situation again. “I... I don’t want you. I don’t... I want to be the princess, saved by the knight in shining armour and whisked into an embrace and a kiss and told that everything is going to be okay...” She looked up at her. “I thought you’d give me that... But it just hurts still...”

And that last few words are enough to let the gates down and she began to cry, eyes staring wide up into hers, searching for something she didn’t know she was looking for. “I’ve wanted to be the princess my entire life... and I turned into the monster that gets stabbed in the heart.”

Well, this was quickly going from bad to worse. There were only so many ways Setsuna could defend herself without revealing that she was Pluto, and that was honestly part of her life that she wanted to keep Rarity out of. It was too dangerous for her... too dangerous even for herself, really.

“Rarity, I...” ah, sod it. There was no way of fixing this with words. Instead, she pulled her into a gentle kiss, fully expecting to get slapped for it.

She was slapped, yes, but was quickly pulled back into a desperate kiss. She didn’t know what she was doing, didn’t know whether to listen to her heart or her head. She just went with it and kissed, deeply. After a few second she broke the kiss and looked up at her. Her heart wishing to hear the words she’d said she always wanted to hear from her ‘knight’.

At this rate, she was going to have a bruise before the night was out. Setsuna bit her lip, trying to think of the best thing to say... why were words so hard sometimes?! She could come out with such fluid battle poetry as Pluto, but actual emotional things were right out.
“Then... be my princess. I promise you, everything’s going to be okay from now on...”

Rarity gasped and pulled away, stepping back several paces. She was frozen in shock. Sure she’d actually wanted to hear that, but hearing got an entirely different reaction than she thought she would. Not knowing if she could go through with it again she went even further “What are you saving me from... Then.” From stairs maybe? Because she’s teetering dangerously close to falling down them as she backed up.

The stairs definitely worked! Setsuna pulled her away from there, keeping her touch very gentle, but firm enough to keep a decent hold. Best to be careful. “Whatever I have to? I’m fairly multitalented.”

“What about yourself?” Bit her lip, unaware of what that would actually do to Setsuna. She was meaning it in the sense of breaking her heart again. She didn’t know exactly what she’d do after that.

Well. That hurt. Setsuna tried not to let it show, trying to focus mainly on Rarity. “I... I’m not going to hurt you. Not again. It almost killed me to do it once.”

Rarity looked into her eyes before pulling away to hold her head and her mouth. Too much to drink. She darted her eyes around looking for a safe spot to vomit that wouldn’t leave a huge mess. Oh this was going to be horrible.

It was a distraction that Setsuna was almost glad for. Even if it’d likely mean a mess for her to clean up later... she quickly moved to grab the nearest thing for her to do that in, thankful she’d kept the place relatively clean even through her apparent absence. “Use this.”

She quickly took it and dealt with the whole puking deal, all whilst supporting herself with one arm against the wall. Rarity waited until she guessed she’d gotten rid of the entire contents of her stomach before turning to push her back against the wall and slide down. How many had she had, seriously?

Probably far too many, knowing Rarity’s tendencies. Setsuna sighed, now wishing even more she hadn’t bothered with running. It wasn’t like she’d really left her, after all... “Feel any better for that?”

“A small bit... My head is already killing me.” She put both hands on her head after setting things down. “I think maybe... six er... seven shots of strawberry vodka and a daiquiri. I think. Could be more... Feels like more.” Eased onto her side on the cold floor, resting her forehead against the coolness.

That was mildly impressive. And by impressive, Setsuna most definitely meant terrifying. On several levels. “...You’re going to have the mother of all hangovers tomorrow.” And if the bad luck continued, she’d probably end up falling asleep on her floor...

“Let me get you somewhere more comfortable.” She knelt down, offering her a hand. “Definitely not good to use my floor as a bed. Did it once, woke up with the rabbit on my chest.”

Rarity giggled somewhat while taking her hand. “You chest is nice to lay on... I don’t blame the creature at all.” Once in a more standing position she swooned and pushed her head onto Setsuna’s shoulder and groaned. “I’m never drinking again...” Sure that was a lie, and the eminent hangover coming out, but she said it.

Rarity might’ve intended it to be a lie, but Setsuna was likely going to hold her to it. The drinking clearly brought out the worst in her... “I don’t think now’s really the right time to be talking about my chest, you know.”

“I know...” Without thinking, Rarity wrapped her arms around Setsuna’s midsection and hugged at her whilst pushing her face against her neck. She missed the warmth and comfort of being this close to her, she wasn’t about to deny that. Despite how bad it hurt, she still loved her and guessed that’s why it hurt so much. “Can I sleep with you in your bed tonight?” No sex, just sleep.

That was more than a little unexpected. Setsuna could go along with it, though, just about - it wasn’t like anything more was going to come of it. At least whilst she was this drunk. “I suppose so. Should keep us both relatively happy, right?”

“I guess so...” In all honesty, she bet she was going to pass out the moment she got properly comfortable. She was tugged into the apartment more and the door was shut behind her. “I’m sorry for... Being so drunk.” Rarity groaned and held her head. “Can I borrow a t-shirt? Can’t sleep in sequins. Too pointy. “

“You can borrow anything you need. Don’t want you uncomfortable.” Largely because an uncomfortable Rarity would likely lead to a very bitchy Rarity the next morning. That is, more bitchy than the hangover itself would make her. “And... honestly, you don’t have to apologise. I know what you’re like.”

That just made her feel worse. She slipped the dress off and into the nearest shirt she could find before working on removing the other accessories. After thirty or so minutes of removing make up and getting her hair into sleep condition, and after vomiting again, she flopped face first into the bed and tried to crawl her way up towards the pillows.

This was going to be fun to clean up tomorrow. At least Setsuna knew she could probably handle it... she got changed quickly, into something a bit more appropriate for sleep, and gently pulled Rarity close once she slipped into the bed. It was guidance, nothing more.

“Try to let me know if you feel ill during the night.” That was something she rather wanted to avoid, for obvious reasons. “And... if my hands wander, which is quite unlikely, feel free to hit me.”

Rarity pushed close to her and wrapped an arm around to hold her lower back before allowing herself to relax. “I... Promise to tell you if I do...” It actually wasn’t long before she’s out cold and lightly snoring. She can’t help it. It’s been awhile since she went dancing. So the drinking meant a hangover, and the dancing meant sore body.
