"Of course not. I'd never hurt Bella and you know it." Lily said giving the dog a little scratch behind her ears as Bella drank her water. "I can't even scold her without feeling completely guilty for it."

"I think we should do that. I was just waiting here because it'd be the easiest way for you to see me. I mean see us," she amended after a second. She bent over to get the bowl, dumping the little bit of water still in it onto the grass and unhooking her leash. "Lead the way Bella. You find where you want to play." She said standing up and dropping everything back into her bag as the dog started walking away, sniffing for a spot that smelled right to her.
