Lily, and Bella, were settling into an easy routine with Anakin back in the area. If she wasn't at work or school they were probably hanging out with him. Lily was really impressed with the way her girl had taken to him, the dog didn't normally trust people so easily but who could blame her considering where she'd been rescued from. "If you're good I'll text and see if we can't arrange a visit with the puppies for you this weekend. A little mommy and baby playdate. Would you like that?" Lily asked her quietly, scratching the spot behind her shoulder that Bella liked best as the dog licked at her. "Yeah. I thought you might. So you're going to be good for me and Anakin right?" Bella gave a short bark and licked Lily's arm in what she decided to take as agreement.

"Good girl." She said, scratching her back lightly as she looked up for her friend.

"I bring refreshments," Anakin said when he arrived. It was just June and it was already pushing eighty. So the stop to get drinks was necessary. He was carrying a raspberry limeade and a blueberry limeade.

He held them forth, dripping with condensation and the promise of tart respite from the heat, letting Lily chose which one she preferred. Anakin liked both so he didn't mind either one she took.

"Which would you like?"

Lily gave him a grin as she reached out for the blueberry limeade he held out. "I'm partial to blue drinks. I blame the twins." She said, lifting the cup out of Bella's reach as the dog tried to lick it. "Hold on. Let me get your water dish and I'll give you some water. You know you aren't allowed human drinks." She said gently, setting her drink down so that she could dig through her bag, pulling out toys and a treat bin before finding the travel bowl and bottle.

She looked over at Anakin with a shrug. "I know I know. I've turned into the stereotypical dog mom." She poured some water into the bowl before setting it down in front of her girl. "At least it's not Evian? Yet at least" She joked.

	"It's your dog," Anakin said, a bit amused. "You do what you want with her." He took a sip from his raspberry limeade. "As long as it's not abusive, of course. And last I heard, giving your do some water on a hot day was the opposite of abusive." He looked around them, the park was wide open. "Did you want to walk somewhere and claim some grass?" "Of course not. I'd never hurt Bella and you know it." Lily said giving the dog a little scratch behind her ears as Bella drank her water. "I can't even scold her without feeling completely guilty for it."

"I think we should do that. I was just waiting here because it'd be the easiest way for you to see me. I mean see us," she amended after a second. She bent over to get the bowl, dumping the little bit of water still in it onto the grass and unhooking her leash. "Lead the way Bella. You find where you want to play." She said standing up and dropping everything back into her bag as the dog started walking away, sniffing for a spot that smelled right to her.
