Who: Clark and Dick
What: Clark flies Dick to the Fortress
Where: Fortress of Solitude
When: Backdated to mid-April
Warnings: Low
Status: Closed | Complete

Clark, ultimately, had found it by accident. Or, more like, it had called to him. Something as big as that could not be hidden. Not from him. He'd decided that maybe it was time to get out a bit. He'd been getting better at flying, loving the feel of it. He'd also found out just how far out he could go. Space had not been something that he'd thought about. The solitude of it was... nice, sort of. Maybe he'd ask Dick about that.

However, he touches down on the Earth before heading inside," Hey, nightowl! We're going to need to find you a warmer coat."

Dick looked up in the direction of the voice of his boyfriend from his tablet and raised an eyebrow. He'd been struggling to sleep lately and was fighting anxiety issues. He'd taken a bit of a step back, and was actively fighting sleep. Night owl was an apt nickname.

"Hmm, why's that?" he asked as he put down the tablet. He'd just been watching some mindless movie in an attempt to ignore said anxiety.

Hearing his boyfriend he heads to him and wraps an arm around him, leaning down to kiss his cheek. He knows that things had been harder ever since the jacket and the lawyer. Which was why he'd thought to get them out of the house.

"Because I found something of mine from home, and it's not... well, it's cold," he tells him, nuzzling his cheek.

Dick had mostly just spent his time inside lately. He knew what he needed to be doing but it was difficult to get motivated to do so. He could probably use a change of pace. Dick could get stuck in his ways at times. He does smile at the kiss though and looked up curiously. “Cold? Exactly how cold? Because I don’t really have any winter clothes?” He’d mostly ditched all his stuff from New York, knowing he’d not be ever returning. L.A. didn’t require down jackets. “Found what exactly?”

He was interested, which was an improvement from his mood recently. He’d tried not to sink into a hole, but found it was hard not to with a looming court date. He gave him a bit of nudge and laughed in spite of his mood at the sudden closeness. Clark being around usually did help him crawl out of that hole.

"I'd say cold enough that it bothers me, but I've learned that cold doesn't bother me at all," he says, making a bit of a face. It's probably with a hint of amusement to his voice even as he says it. Finding out that heat and cold didn't bother him, well... that was new. "The Fortress."

Another kisses," Which means flying." If he could get his boyfriend out of the house, all the better. Even if it was to head out to some unknown location, by flight.

Dick was glad that Clark was less afraid to explore his powers lately. He'd worried for a while there, but it seemed his boyfriend was actually starting to embrace them. They were part of who he was. "So more than a hoodie." and probably more than sweats and hoodie.

"The fortress? Really?" Clark had his attention. "And you want to take me?" He'd never seen it before. The movie on his iPad was forgotten. He returned that kiss and nipped at his lower lip. “My suit is temperature regulated. " to a point anyway. It could withstand heat from a burning building and snowy weather for a while.

Gaining abilities through dreams was... odd. More than a little odd, even. Clark had been scared of the abilities, at first. Scared that he'd end up hurting someone. Which wouldn't be his intention. He preferred helping people. It was one of the reasons that he'd become a firefighter. So, he could get out there and save lives. "Yes, more than a hoodie."

"Really," he tells him. Though, those eyes look to the other for a moment," Yes, I want to take you." Why wouldn't he? Had Dick never seen it before? Was this something that some other him kept to himself? That didn't sound right. Well, it did, but it didn't. "How regulated?"

He gave him a small smile and leaned up to kiss him. Dick knew about it sure, but the fortress was a super person club thing usually. And he respected that. "The version of you I knew only took the super crew." he teased gently, reaching out to take his hand and pull himself up.

"I can walk through fire and not be burned. I can withstand the cold as long as the exposed bit of my face can stand it." Dick responded simply, he didn't usually like giving away trade secrets, but this was Clark. He had very few secrets of his own left. "It's meant to protect someone without super power against those with it. So basically it might last longer than I would should something happen to me."

"Super crew?" He asks with confusion clear in his voice. Who in the hell was the super crew? Him and his cousin he'd understand. The Fortress was a Kryptonian thing. However, he's not sure who else some other him would take up there. He didn't want to think about it, though. It might actively hurt his head.

He gives a bit of a nod," I guess we're going to need our suits then." Except that somewhere along the way he'd grab something else for his boyfriend anyway. Just to be on the safe side. After all, he wasn't even sure how cold the Fortress was. It was pretty bad when he couldn't determine something like that.

" Yeah. Other Kryptonian types mainly. Kara, Kon, but sometimes Wally would show up and grab you." if he was needed. Wally was never great at keeping boundaries. There were days he missed his Dream friend. Wally was a pain in the ass, but he was his pain in the ass.

He gives him a look as he mentioned suits." Plural?" Had Clark ever worn his yet? He watched him skeptically.

"Shh..." He says before kissing him. "Remember, spoilers honey." That last bit is teasing. Though, he didn't know that last name. Besides, he didn't need to give himself a headache trying to figure out the people. He knew his cousin. Though, his brother? That seemed interesting enough. It still wasn't something he wanted to know.

He sees that look and raises a brow," Plural, Dick. Do you really see me flying to the Fortress in civilian clothes?"

Gently he returned the kiss with a bit of a laugh at being called honey. He wasn't sure why the term amused him so much, but it did. He gave him a playful nudge as he took his hand.

" Actually yes, you being you and all. I could see it. " Clark was stubborn, if he didn't want to wear his suit or didn't want to do something he wouldn't. But the fact that he wanted to did make Dick smile. "Guess we'd better change them." of course for his boyfriend it would take seconds, for Dick it would be a few minutes. He gave his jawline a kiss before they headed for the garage where he'd put his gear. The bike wasn't there yet, but soon enough it would be. He decided he'd use the suit upgrade this time, with the deep blue finger stripes that went all the way to his fingertips and up his arms to form the Nightwing symbol on the chest. It was a mix of Kevlar and some kind of Kevlar looking armor. All of it skin tight to him, showing off the muscle he had gained back recently after his jail stay.

"What?"

He's not quite sure what the laugh is about, but he grins. It was good to hear Dick laughing. That was probably one of the best sounds to him. That laugh. He could listen to that on a daily basis. He can't help the smile at the statement either. "Not sure what that's meant to mean, but I'll go with it."

Once to the garage he opens his pod and within seconds the lead lined glasses are gone and he's in his suit. So, while he waits for the other to get fitted, he watches him. It was a good view to watch. "Looks good."

He didn't realize he hadn't laughed in a while. He'd been so worried about the impending court case that he'd been a bit more serious than normal. "It means you're stubborn." He grinned as he shook his head in amusement. He loved him for it anyway. It took an equally stubborn person to deal with Dick, so they worked out well.

He did notice Clark watching him as he changed and decided to do a little strip tease just for fun. Dick even leaned up against him for a brief second as he finished getting ready and let a smirk touch the corner of his lips. "Not so bad yourself." He looked him over, and for one couldn't stop smiling. "There's a thing I wanted to do." he stepped forward and reached up to kiss him. A hand pressed on his boyfriend's chest. That was the thing he wanted to do. He'd been wanting to kiss him in that suit forever.

"I'm sure that my mother could've told you that," he tells him, amusement to his tone. Martha knew just how stubborn he could be. So did Kara. Most of the people he was friends with knew it. If there was one thing about Clark Kent… well, he was stubborn and hard headed. Determined. All good things to be, especially in his line of work.

He can't stop the slight blush at the strip tease. "Oh? What's that?" Except that Dick was already pressing close and kissing him, hand on his chest. It doesn't go amiss where that hand is either. Right on the symbol of hope. He kisses him back giving a smile," It's the suit. It has to be." The words are teasing as he says them. "Let me know when you're ready."

It was good for both of them. Only a very stubborn sort would be able to deal with Dick on a regular basis. “I haven’t met her yet though.” He’d probably have to at some point, he was in a better headspace in spite of things being a bit rough, he’d be able to do it whenever Clark wanted now really. He could leave the house so it wasn’t quite as bad as the first time around.

“Yes Clark, I’m very attracted to the suit made by your mom. And you know, not the guy in it. “ He shook his head with a bit of a face, fingertips trailing tauntingly down his chest before he just gave him an amused look as he nipped at his lower lip. “These suits aren’t only good for crime stuff you know.” He teased giving a bit of the material a little pinch of his fingers. He said he was into some kinky stuff after all. He enjoyed getting a reaction out of Clark. “ Whenever you are.” Was it really a shock that the guy who liked skin tight kevlar was no stranger to kinky fun things?

"Ma will love you."

There were no ifs, ands or buts about that. Martha Kent would like Dick Grayson for the simple fact that the other makes her son happy. Something that his boyfriend did on a daily basis. Not that Clark wasn't happy before meeting Dick, he was. However, the other made his day. Practically every single day.

"The guy in it is boring anyway," he states, trying not to laugh at the statement itself. He'd never really seen himself as a boring guy. His boyfriend didn't tell him that he was boring either. Those words and the pinch of material get a bit of a blush out of him. No, he was not going to think about that. That was just, no. Nope. "Come on." It's said even as he wraps an arm around Dick to walk them outside. Though, once out there he wraps his arms around his boyfriend, getting them as high as they could go and letting them float there for a minute.

"I love the view from up here."

“Think so? Am I the kind of guy you bring home to your mom?” He smirked, teasing him. “I’d introduce you to mine, but you’re off the hook there.” He gave him a little kiss to the jawline. He didn’t have parents for Clark to meet, and he’d already met Raven and Donna. Those were the people in his life that were like family to him.

“Weren’t boring last night according to my memory.” He teased suggestively as he let Clark lead him out. His own arms wrapped around him tightly as he stared downward at the ground getting smaller and smaller. “Just don’t let go.” He was clinging to him, he’d only ever really done this in the dreams. And in his imagination in this reality. He had to mentally adjust to how high they were before he could stare down and not worry about the ground. It didn’t take too long before he was able to relax a little more. “ It is something.” More impressed than nervous finally.

"I think so, yes," he tells him. He knows that the moment Martha Kent saw her son happy, then that was all she wrote. He doesn't, however, say anything when Dick mentions him being off the hook. Not when he would've wanted to meet the Graysons.

The mention of not being boring the night before gets a deep blush out of him. "I have no intentions of letting go." He could feel Dick clinging to him, which he understood. They were pretty high up. Not enough that it would affect the man in his arms, but far enough. Everything below them was so small. "Now, if anyone tells you the sky is the limit, you can tell them you had the sky."

"Then I'd be happy to." he had a few more questions, but they were in the air and all that left his mind. He knew some people might introduce a significant other to a grave if they could ; but Dick didn't know where they were buried. He'd never been able to find any information on them. Frankly he wasn't ready to go deep searching into it. He'd grown up in the system and he'd moved past it. Those weren't memories he wanted back yet.

They were up much higher than his rooftops, much higher than he'd ever been for circus performance. His fingertips were digging at him a little, but he doubted it would hurt him. "It's amazing." He was really kind of out of words as a few altitude and other various numbers scrolled past his eyes behind the mask he wore. They weren't visible to anyone else but him. "How fast can you go?" he was curious.

"I'd like that," he tells him with a smile. Clark, for the most part, would answer any questions that his boyfriend had when it came to his family. It wasn't like the Kryptonian hid anything, much less from Dick. The man even knew about his pod. Not that the thing really did much but sit hidden away. Maybe he would have to find a different spot for it, but he liked having it close.

As for the fingertips digging into him, no. It didn't hurt and he barely even felt it. "It is," he says with a grin. Though, at the question, he can't help but laugh," Not sure. I haven't exactly clocked myself to see how fast I can go. Quicker than these planes up here, that's for sure. Why? You wanting to test things out now that we're in the air?"

Part of him was still very aware that if he fell, that was a very, very long fall. But he tried to focus on Clark instead. His arm was tightly wrapped around him.his heart beat had finally stopped racing and returned to normal. He was quiet, but not because he was sad or anxious this time. He was just taking it all in. He wasn't trying to hurt Him with his vice grip, he was trying to ground himself a little. It helped. "it's different than I thought. I mean in a good way." he wondered what it'd be like to fly with his own power.

"if you tried a little, my suit will tell you." he suggested as he read out exactly how high up they were. "I get stats from it." the suit he wore was more advanced than it looked. "Maybe."he responded with a bit of a smirk.

If Dick ever did fall then Clark would be there. He would never allow the other to hit the ground. Besides, there's only two ways that would happen. Kryptonite or the lack of sun, which would hinder his powers. Barring those two things he wasn't going to drop his boyfriend. "Good." However, when he's told what altitude they're at, he nods. "I can actually go higher. It just wouldn't be good on you."

He can't help but laugh," Maybe, huh? Maybe we should wait until I have your feet back on solid ground before we try clocking my speed."

Dick trusted him otherwise he’d have made it very clear that he was uncomfortable. The only uncomfortable thing was figuring out how to ground himself in mid air. Since he had no powers of his own it took a minute for him to figure out his footing per say, so he didn’t just look like an idiot dangling in the air. “How high?” He was curious just how high and how fast he could get.

“I mean we could, but it wasn’t as fun.” He sulked about it for a second and nudged him. “Fineeee. But I wanna watch.” He enjoyed seeing his boyfriend’s powers on display. Especially now that he was getting the hang of it and didn’t seem so scared. “I’m proud of you.” He couldn’t help but to be. He was embracing who he was.

If Dick has paid attention to the Superman of his world, maybe he could ground himself better. Or, he could just step on the top of Clark's feet. It wasn't like it would bother him any. It would probably also keep the other from feeling like he was dangling in mid-air. There's a bit of a smirk at the how high bit," Space. I thought that it would bother me, at first, but it doesn't. I breath up there same as I do on the ground."

He gives a bit of a chuckle," Of course you do. You can watch any time that you wish." Though, that last part seems to come out of nowhere. "For what?" It's soft as he asks, but he does give a smile at the words.

"Oh, um yeah that might bother me a little." considering he wasn't an alien and would probably freeze to death in the suit he did wear. Maybe not in the suit he saw recently in his dreams, but he didn't have that one yet. "I kind of like being able to breathe." he admitted as he mostly tried to balance himself. He was just being stubborn, finally though he did decide to put his feet on Clark's. Stubborn was exhausting.

"Next time we'll have to see if that speed carries over to bed activities." he teased. But then he was asking questions and Dick could only smile. "How far you've come with all this." Clark used to be afraid to open his eyes, and now look at him. He couldn't help but be a little proud of his boyfriend.

"I like you being able to breathe too," Clark tells him with a soft smile. Though, he does eventually feel the other place his feet over his. He loved how stubborn Dick could be sometimes. There was an amusement there when he was. He keeps his arms wrapped around him, kissing him where they were.

A blush creeps up on his cheeks and he tries not to laugh," Oh, I'm sure that it'll carry over just fine." He had a high stamina, after all. Though, that soft smile brightens a bit. "Well, I had you to help me through a lot of it." Between Kara and Dick, he'd managed to come out on top of all of this.

His hold tightens a bit on the other and he uses a little of that speed, not all of it, to get them to the Fortress. Once there he floats down until their feet hit the ground. "Did you know this thing has its own security system?" Which amuses Clark for some reason or another.

"This suit can do a lot, but not that." he gave him a little grin. Without super power really he had to be stubborn at times. He did everything his super powered counterparts did and then some. He'd never expect them to do something that he would not. Dick was meant to lead, and determined to do so by showing his capability. He returned that kiss, deepening it for just a second there.

"Now that's definitely something we're going to need to test." Dick enjoyed getting Clark to blush like that. It was part of why he kept on teasing him. If sex actually happened he was more than happy for that, but the reaction was endearing.

When they finally started to move, he let his core muscles do the work for him to hold him against Clark until they landed near the frigid Fortress. "Well no, but that doesn't surprise me. I don't think you'd want Amazon showing up with packages or something at random and finding all your super stuff." he teased as he stepped off his boyfriends feet to let him show off his fancy new Fortress without a frozen bat clinging to him.

Clark, for the most part, found it interesting what Dick's suit could do. Even if most of that went over his head. Technology and him were not friends. He preferred pen and paper over the laptop. His cellphone... well, it came in handy. When his boyfriend wasn't sending him nudes on it. That had been interesting all on its own.

"We'll see," he tells him with a bit of a smile, blush creeping on his cheeks a bit more. That blush? Definitely things could go any number of ways. That was neither here nor there, though. For now, he enjoyed time with his boyfriend, and the teasing.

"I'm not sure Amazon can even reach up here, Dick," he says with a bit of a laugh. "So, do we want to head in now, or test the speed first?"

It gave out stats and so much more to help him deal with his crime fighting extracurricular activity. He had to make up somehow for not having powers, and his suit helped. It wasn’t overly complicated, at least not to him. “Yes, yes we will see.” He confirmed with a teasing smirk. There were so many things he’d test now that he knew they could, and the gears in his head were turning at the ideas.

“I know I know, out of their delivery range.” He waved a hand dramatically. Obviously he was quite aware unless they came up with drone delivery-which wasn’t too far off, chances of them finding the place on accident were slim to none. “Considering my face is is starting to feel like an icicle already, maybe we head in first.” It was bitterly cold. . “The rest of me is toasty warm, but my face hates standing here right now.” He added with a shrug, if they stayed out there too long the suit would catch up to his face freezing probably.

“Maybe it’ll block this wind chill.” There was a blip on his arm as they approached, announcing the fortress and it’s security. “My security is giving yours a poke.” He stated with a grin. His own suit’s security had a lot of ways to detect even unknown security systems. Even alien.

Clark shakes his head at the teasing smirk, trying not to laugh. The other was always trying to get some kind of rise out of him. Not that he minded, he didn't. It was just stemmed to how well they worked together. Especially relationship wise.

"Yes, out of their range," he says rolling his eyes at the dramatic handwave. Moving over he wraps an arm around him, then stands in front of him. If there was a windchill then it would hit him before it would hit Dick. That? He could handle. However, he raises a brow.

That didn't," -Is that wise for your suit to be poking the Fortress' security system? We're not going to have lasers or robots trying to kill us, are we? All because your suit decide 'Poke, hey bitch, I'm here.' "

If he didn’t tease Clark he was doing a lousy job at being a boyfriend. If you couldn’t tease the ones you loved, who could you tease? He never meant anything ill by it. He just had a mouth on him and very little filter when it came to his boyfriend. Why should he?

“Damn, I could have ordered us something fun for this isolated place. Just to ah..spice things up a bit.” He gave a suggestive wiggle of his eyebrows as he walked close in his arm. “Really test out just how reliable those guys are. One day delivery my frozen ass.” He grinned. Clark blocking the chill helped.

He smiled at the comment. “It isn’t stabbing it. It’s just saying hey.” He patted the arm closest to reassure him as they headed in. “It’s more like: I’m friend, don’t melt me with lasers.” He mused, his suit was programmed by experts. “A few tech geniuses in my world built it.” Though he was laughing at the fact that his boyfriend cursed. It caught him so off guard he couldn’t help it.

He can't help but blush a bit. Even if the other knew good and well that nothing would ever happen in the Fortress. This was... sacred somehow. Was that even the right word for it? A piece of home. Which he still didn't really get. How could a Fortress hold so much of Krypton to it?

Shaking his head, he laughs," I don't know if Kelex likes being poked at. I also doubt he'd melt your face off. You're with me." Though, he's curious about the tech in his boyfriend's suit. Especially if it could poke at alien technology like that. It seemed like a huge thing somehow.

"What're you laughing at?" He asks even as he leads him inside, the floating robot coming over to them. "Kelex." Then he gives his boyfriend a soft smile," Dick Grayson, meet Kelex. Some kind of Kryptonian security bot. Actually, I think he's more than that, he just won't say." Though, he rolls his eyes. The only thing from Kelex being: I will tell you in time, Kal-El.

"Still need to get used to that," he tells Dick. "So, as you can see, we're barely inside and the place is expansive," he states hearing the door shut behind them, hiding them away from the world.

Oh he knew nothing sexy was likley to happen, but that didn't mean he wouldn't tease his boyfriend every opportunity he got. It was just his way." Well, my security system can't really be disarmed very easily." not without harming him. It was security for him as well as other systems and alerting him about them.

When the floating thing approached, Dick raised an eyebrow. "Better not introduce him to my internal security then. He won't like it." He grinned as he eyed the thing with a bit of skeptical looks. "uh, hey Kelex." he wasn't sure what someone said to a robot. He's never met one.

"When you gave me my name, you told me yours too. I mean the other you I know." he gave him a small smile. "That it is. Guess that flying power will come in handy in here." it would take Dick a while to walk any place in there. He reached for Clark's hand, giving it a little squeeze. "You're going to do good things with this I'm sure." not just his shiny new Fortress, but with his power too.

"I'd be worried if it could be."

Last thing either of them needed was something disarming security. No, last thing he needed was for Dick to get hurt. Clark wasn't sure if that was something he could handle, nor did he want to. Though, he is rather amused at the unsure way that his boyfriend says hello to Kelex. He's not entirely worried that the Kryptonian robot will hurt the man beside him.

"Guess it will," he tells him, giving his hand a bit of a squeeze back. "This is actually the first time that I've heard my real name. I've been going by Clark Kent for so long. I mean it's a bit obvious that there'd be a different name, but not the point." A soft smile graces his lips," I'm going to try, at least."

Dick needed the extra security layer, it was another way to protect him. More things to keep him from being hurt or worse in their line of work. He stepped a little closer to him to lean against his boyfriend. He was starting to get cold again. His hand was covered up, but his face felt it. "It doesn't seem to hate my security." watching the robot cautiously still. He didn't do anything to antagonize it, but he was a bit wary.

The cold was starting to make him tired, he leaned his head against Clark's arm. "I believe in you, and you won't be alone." Dick wouldn't let him go it alone. He shivered involuntarily. He was going to have to see about covering his face when brought up there next.

Clark watches his boyfriend and notes that slight bit of weariness still. Then again, he'd been weary, himself, when he'd first met Kelex. Then he'd ended up with a bit of history on his planet. That had been interesting. As was being constantly called Kal-El. He would stick with the name he was used to, and familiar with. "I'm sure Kelex would tell us if he did hate it."

He rubs his arms along Dick's for a moment," How about we go home, for now, and we come back later. When you actually come prepared." It's a bit teasing even as he leans in and kisses him. "Come on. Lets get you home, where we can get you warmed up."
