She squeezed him tightly and rubbed his back. "You are lucky I love you," she said softly. "And I do, okay? So I'm glad you are taking it slow, super powers or not." She couldn't bear the thought of losing him too. She wasn't his mom, but he was her boy and she'd do anything to keep him safe. She knew she'd have some sleepless nights ahead.
