Anna and Peeta
Anna was pretty much getting to the point where anything that she might think was odd that received no reaction was just normal for them. Not Orange County normal, but it's own brand of normal for them. But also not like the waking world that they'd been used to before Orange County and dreams and all of that.
And it definitely did look like they were trying to give them money. Well it was nice to know that her initial read on them was correct? That they were nice people who wanted to help but just...different? And wow was this awkward.
"Yeah, dinner and figuring it out. We just need to get our bearings but we live close-ish."
"Are you sure? You didn't know how you got here."
"Well, it could be like Aunt Phobia and her sleepwalking."
"You know you're right. She could just show up anywhere with no knowledge of how." With that seemingly resolved the husband, Gomez if Anna was keeping up, turned back to them. "Well if you're sure, we can just sit down and have a meal and get you sorted. Whatever you need. This way."
All Anna could do was nod slowly before looking at Peeta with a shrug. Might as well. It wasn't like they really knew how long they'd be there but food was probably a good idea. And at least they weren't getting money thrown at them anymore. They just had to get through this and it would all be fine. She at least had faith in that. Somehow.
