Anna and Peeta
Anna was really hoping cooler heads would prevail but somehow, she was beginning to doubt that was something that existed here. So when Peeta said to trust her? Just nodded some. And then nearly choked on air because she hadn't expected that from her friend's boyfriend. But she had nodded to show she'd trust him so she could only play along.
And thankfully it seemed the very odd family at least accepted the response. Though given the way the husband had spoken of love and meeting his wife, she wasn't too surprised. They seemed that, for all the weirdness of the house, to deeply love one another.
"Oh, such a shame, but you two do make a lovely couple. Oh, I know. Why don't you stay for supper as a way for us to make up the misunderstanding."
"Ah Cara Mia, a wonderful idea. Truly we didn't mean to intrude on true love after all!"
"Lurch, be a dear and tell grandmama we will be having guests for dinner." With a groan, Lurch left the main room and Anna was just feeling very dizzy at everything that ha happened.
"Please, come, sit!"
That was when Anna saw the lion coming from the upstairs.
"It seems Kitty Cat wishes to say hello." One potential disaster averted. Now....well, Anna wasn't sure what was happening now but at least there were no hard feelings? Though Anna really did have to wonder how Tish (was that short for something?) was able to move in her dress.
