If Vanessa had explained things at work, they'd of probably allowed her the time off. Not being able to work, unfortunately, was something that would drive her crazy. Especially when she'd rather be helping people. It was nice having Axel back home, but a bit hard sometimes too. Even with it being only a week it had been hard. Though, she'd made sure that Dylan was only with Scarlett for a few days. Even if she knew that her sister would've kept her longer.
Normally? Vanessa was up the moment that Dylan got up. Up the moment that her alarm went off. Something that she set every single day. Which meant that she'd probably forgotten to turn it on or it had been messed with. It also meant that she actually slept. Which was a bit rare for her. Especially when there was a routine that they followed practically every day. One that practically went out the window when daddy got home.
The cold orange juice, as well as the jostling of the bed, woke Vanessa up and those eyes look towards Dylan before setting the cup aside. Despite the fact that she was now sticky, she grabs her daughter and hugs her before tickling her. Though, those eyes do look towards her husband giving him a soft smile.
