He had to give Doctor Smith, he knew how to pick 'em. The place was quite charming, with rich colors and clean lines, and just the right lighting for the early morning. The sun was beginning to break through the clouds. Obi-Wan's eyes, however, skirting across the Doctor's outstretched hand.
"Er, I have a cold brewing," he said. "You understand. I at least should wash up, first."
It was more than brewing. It was fully blown. In fact, just walking down the street had sent so many aches through Obi-Wan's legs that he wondered if he'd make it at all. He was putting on a good show, he hoped--trying to appear as normal as possible, or at least as not homeless as possible.
They stepped inside and approached the counter. There was a short line. Just long enough to give Obi-Wan enough time to read the menu and calculate just how much he would technically owe the man afterward. Yes, he was also already figuring out ways to offer repayment. Nothing was ever free. Not at long as he could help it.
