Obi-Wan is aging surprisingly well (obi1) wrote in valarlogs,
By this point, Obi-Wan's face was decidedly blank. There were a good many thoughts running through his head, but they seemed to cancel one another out. If there was anything readable about him, most likely about the eyes, it was probably a vague WTF kind of look. However, one thing that must be ruled out immediately was that he was in any way fearful of this man, off though he certainly was. Obi-Wan had never found a reason to be afraid of anybody.
What he felt like was a child with his hand caught in the candy jar--in the sense that this man clearly understood his situation, a situation that Obi-Wan went to great lengths to keep private. Sincerity or even kindness meant little to him. He only felt the shame of being in need of assistance.
But he began to follow the man. "I happen to like pears."
