Who: Octavia Blake and Echo Ash Jackson What: Girls need a spa day Where: Out and about When: Saturday, August 1 Warnings: Not likely Status: In progress (started in docs, continued in comments)
Helping take care of her brothers, Raven and Julian had kind of tired out the young Blake. It didn’t stop how energetic she was, though. Not when Madeline had made sure she was fed and taken care of. Something that she appreciated while being at the Reyes manor. Now? She just needed some time for herself. To get away from everything. Including the stupid dreams. Dreams that involved a guy that her dream self seemed to love. Which seemed to make things change between her and Ash. Or maybe that had to do with the girl dating her brother. There was no telling.
She was about ready to head out when Ash stopped her. When the older woman mentioned something about heading out, just the two of them. Something that Octavia could get behind. So, she gives the woman a bit of a smile,” Do we even know where we’re going to go?” If it was some kind of surprise she wouldn’t mind it. She just needed something away from home. “No clue,” Ash admitted. She had a few ideas, but hadn’t settled on any one place in particular. She was going to more or less play it by ear. “Obviously we don’t need to eat,” she said. Because Madeline, and the care package Daryl sent over, had kept them fed. Raven definitely made a good friend in that guy, and Julian lucked out working for a kind and compassionate boss.
“Do you want to go shopping? Or we could go get a massage.” That would definitely be nice. And relaxing. Ash kind of felt like they’d earned that, what with the stress of the past few days. "No, we don't."
Daryl had made sure that the Reyes manor had all the food in the world. Octavia was pretty damn sure that people would get the wrong idea or something, seeing all that food. But she was glad that her big sister had a good friend like that.
"Oh god. Maybe we should do a massage first and then go shopping." Or maybe they should do shopping first then massage. Either way, a massage sounded really damn good. “That sounds like a plan.” Ash led the way out to her car. “As much as I feel I need it, you probably need it ten fold.” Octavia had been immune in the dreams, and they’d banked on that being true in reality too. It seemed that they were correct in assuming she wouldn’t get sick.
And while there was an assumption Ash would also be immune due to being a Grounder, they didn’t know for sure. So she’d stayed away from the sick people, but she’d been there for the moral support that everyone needed. It was weird to think of Ash as a Grounder. However, she was in the dreams and had even heard of Lincoln. Something that had been on Octavia's mind ever since the dreams she'd been having. Especially when he'd tried to get the dream version of her to leave with him. Only problem? Everyone had gotten sick and she couldn't let them suffer. Her brother had been among them and Bellamy meant the world to her.
She follows Ash out to her car and gives a bit of a smile," So... we just forego any dream talk. That can stay gone for the day. Even if there had been a lot of stuff to happen in them. Especially concerning a certain Grounder." It's a bit teasing. "Maybe while we're out you'll find something for your boyfriend." “I can agree to forgoing the dream talk,” Echo said. There were a lot of unanswered questions, but she was pretty sure they could talk the subject to death and go over every detail and fact they had, and most of the questions would remain unanswered. It was the sort of thing that could drive a person crazy, if they let it.
“Maybe we can find something nice to bring back to all of them. Since I’m sure being sick like that is no fun.” Being sick was never fun, but what they had seemed especially brutal. "Sounds good to me," she tells her. Slipping into the car, Octavia leans back in the seat and allows herself a moment to relax. It felt like she'd been running for so long. Even if that wasn't entirely true. Dream her had, more than likely. She'd been through hell and back, at least.
She gives the older woman a bit of a smile," Yeah, maybe we could. Not that I know what Rave would like. Johnny and Bell are easier for me to figure something out for. Her, not so much. Unless we find a book she doesn't have." "I'm sure we can find something." How hard could it be? The shops were full of things. Surely they'd find something perfect for Raven as well as the boys. But they'd worry about that later. For now, Ash was going to focus on Octavia. She'd been tirelessly helping the others while they were sick, because she'd been immune in the dreams and immune in their real lives. That was just another interesting layer on an already multilayered puzzle.
"I don't know about you, but I am so looking forward to this massage."
