Thomas still hadn’t found the right time to bring up to Damon what Enzo had suggested but everytime he’d thought about bringing it up something had come up to derail them. But there was another thing he hadn’t taken care of either from that conversation - actually meeting Kol, Damon’s other business partner. He’d seen him around the clubs, waved to him and said hi but never really talked to him. If there was a possibility of him becoming a partner it would probably be good to change that. And if Kol wasn’t cool with it than his lack of mentioning it to Damon might work out to be a good thing after all. It hadn’t taken long for him to figure out which one Kol would be doing the paperwork at that evening before opening and he’d driven over there.
“Kol? You here?” He called as he walked through the door, looking around him. He didn’t think he’d ever seen the place so empty but then he normally didn’t come so early which probably explained it. “It’s Thomas Raith.”

Kol was in the back looking over the books. Things were looking good, things were looking positive, in fact, he would even argue that things were looking well enough to open a fourth club. Maybe in New York, take the brand to the East Coast. He knew Enzo was on board with it, now all they needed to do was convince Damon.
Speaking of...he could hear Damon’s boyfriend in the other room. Putting away the books, he walked out into the lobby and smiled.
“Hey Thomas, what’s up?”

Thomas gave him a friendly smile, leaning against the bar lightly. "Figured I'd swing by and find out if you had some time to talk. Run an idea by you that Enzo got stuck in my head. You busy?" He knew Enzo a little better, he needed to fix that if this went through though. He didn't dislike Kol. He just hadn't hung out with him as much.

“Sure,” he gestured to the bar. “Have a seat, I’ll pour us some shots. I think I might have an idea of what the idea is. Is it opening a 4th bar and having you come on as a business partner?” In reality it would make sense. He was seeing Damon, and they were doing so well with the three bars. They might as well branch out and open a fourth one.

"I swear to God you are all hiding that telepathy came over as part of your abilities." Thomas joked as he made himself comfortable on a stool. "He brought it up when we were hanging out playing with Winie. Kind of got stuck in my head as a possibility since I need to get out of the public eye so much now that I've turned completely."

“Ya, I haven’t thought that far ahead, you know? How I am going to explain to Mare that I still look 25 when she’s 18. Why all her Aunts and Uncle’s look that way. I guess for a while we can claim plastic surgery...a lot of it…”
Pouring Thomas a drink, he slid it over to the man. “In truth, it’s not a bad idea for you to join us. You have a way of keeping Enzo and Damon under control.”

“Oh I’m personally claiming good genes for as long as possible with my nieces if they ask. One thing I will never argue - my biologicals gave me good genetics.” Thomas told him with a shrug as he lifted the glass to Kol before sipping. “Well...that might have something to do with the ability that came with my turning. I control emotions. I don’t try and do it most of the time. When one of them is getting worked up over something mostly but...accidents.”

“But you’ve kind of been ‘adopted’ by Enzo and his family, right? Do your parents uh...do they suck? Mine do. They are monsters. So if you have shitty parents, welcome to the club my friend,” he sipped his drink. “Do you know anything about running a bar or night club? Anything about mixing drinks and legalities?”
***
Thomas set his glass down on the bar between them. “I have been. Mom’s amazing. My birth parents...suck is putting it mildly. I haven’t talked to either of them since I was 18 except through lawyers when my father tries to sue me.” He took another sip. “Nope but I’m a fast learner. And am willing to admit my lack of knowledge. And come with a well trained bear that we can come up with ways to use in promotion opportunities and events.”
