His handshake was firm, strong. Self assured. He shook hand with a lot of people.
"A background check won't be a problem." He'd come up clean. Squeaky clean. He didn't have so much as a speeding ticket to his name. He'd had a rebellious streak, sure, but he hadn't broken the law. He was one of the good guys, an upstanding citizen.
"As for what I want to do, I'm willing to do whatever needs to be done. Whether that's cleaning up, moving furniture, setting up for some event. Doesn't matter. Just feel called to give back to the community, you know?" His willingness and desire to help was sincere.
