For being so smart in some ways, Deku could be an idiot. He could practically see the gears in his head turning while he analyzed what was going on in front of him, even in the dark. How he made it through the day sometimes, who the hell knew.
And fuck now he was crying. It was always pretty obvious when Deku started the water works and he just could not with it. When they were kids he ragged on him about that too, in fact he still did to this day because really he thought the other boy would have grown out of it by now. So much for more wishful thinking on his part. Deku would probably always be like that as much as he would constantly mutter under his breath until the end of time.
"It's fine, don't worry about it," he replied flatly, swinging one leg over the side of the couch, sitting himself up all the way. "Don't make a big deal out of it." Damn Deku was just... in a category all his own he didn't know how to label. It wasn't bad necessarily, but right now Deku's way of making him self evaluate was really annoying. He glanced back at Denki and sighed, leaning back to feel for his phone before getting up from the couch. Throwing a pillow at Deku under most circumstances did sound satisfying, but he didn't.
"I'm gettin' up anyway, take it or leave it." He waved it off dismissively, stretching there for a second where he stood before heading off in the direction of his room. Getting woken up bothered him, sure. Deku could be a dumb klutz, he couldn't really help it. Disappointed looks from Denki felt like kicking a puppy. It might have just been him or the fact it was who knew what the fuck o'clock, he had yet to look, but there was something left hanging there by Deku's babbling that he wasn't prepared to deal with like this. He could just go for his run early... or something, he didn't know yet.
