Clicking his tongue, he shrugged at Denki's insistence and draped his arm back behind him. There was a lot to be said in what he didn't say more often than what he was, sometimes loudly. When he came up short of having a retort, it was more than likely because he didn't want to admit to what was being put in front of him. In this case, he didn't feel it was necessary. Kaminari ought to know some of how he worked by now, so he didn't feel the need to go out of his way to point something out that they both already knew.
"You don't gotta get me anything," which really was more a flag of go ahead and do whatever than an actual denial. It didn't phase him much when it seemed like the other spaced out for a minute either because this was also common. Kaminari just staring off into space and responding to something that was said to him five minutes later. Most of the time, he had the patience to deal with it. Now when they were studying and he wanted to be flighty? Katsuki was having none of that.
So instead he waited for his friend to snap out of it, idly flicking at the screen of his phone without actually looking at much of anything on the screen. "Hm? She's alright," his eyes followed to where the other boy glanced off, leaning his chin over passively on his palm, propped up on his elbow. "Nah, she wouldn't go for you because you're a dork," he ribbed without any malice, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. You couldn't be friends with him and not expect to get ragged on. It just came with the deal.
"So what?" Jesus... Kaminari was almost as bad as Deku. Katsuki rolled his eyes and reached for his tea to take a drink before snacking at some of the edamame. "If you don't have any confidence, no girl's gonna date you, ya know."
And when she came back around to take their order, Katsuki got the spiciest thing on the menu, making casual talk with Kaminari while they waited for their food to come out. When it did get there, he was pleasantly surprised. He could admit, this place wasn't half bad. Partway through he ended up taking off his own hoodie to discard next to him, feeling some of the heat. Which was nice, he usually would have been complaining by now that there wasn't enough spice.
Content to sit a bit longer once they were done, Katsuki stretched, settling back with a sigh. "If you can keep yourself from dying of embarrassment, we'll have to come back sometime," he mused out loud, folding his arms behind his head.
