Steve did notice that his nephew held on to him tighter than he expected but the kid had been through a lot. He wished he could take the pain away from Peter. Nobody should have to experience that kind of loss, much less a kid.
At the mention of jet lag, Steve chuckled. "I definitely know what jet lag is. I had it when I arrived here. I also got deployed shortly after joining Peggy here. When I returned from overseas, it took me a couple of days to adjust. You'll get used to it."
He started walking his family towards the door of the airport. "Do you think I'd let you get into a cab with a complete stranger minutes after arriving here? Absolutely not. I haven't had anything since lunch so how about we stop somewhere on the way home. What do you two feel like? He asked Peter and Peggy.
