Touring the house had been really eye opening. This could be the one in Caleb's mind. There were a lot of rooms, thankfully some on different floors, and they had a pool int the back yard. It was crazy how expensive places could be, but it was great to have a lot of room to breathe and they wouldn't be on top of each other.
He followed the realtor into another bedroom and stepped into the middle of the empty space to get a feel for it. He waited for Pogue to enter the room before holding his hand out for his boyfriend to join him, "what do you think so far of this place?" He spoke a little quieter so the realtor couldn't hear everything. Pogue's opinion was important since him showing up was the reason they could all live in one place now.
The house was pretty fucking incredible, no denying that. It was also huge, spacious, and you'd have to be a fool to not want to live in it if you got the chance. Definitely enough room for them all to live their lives, both separately and together without murder happening.
"It's gorgeous," he murmured softly as he wandered over to join Caleb, arms slipping around his neck and an affectionate kiss being dropped on his temple before Pogue just rested his chin on Caleb's shoulder. "Really beautiful. It's no wonder it cost as much as it does."
"It really is, I wonder if this lady is wondering what two twenty-something guys are doing with this big of a house and at this price point. At least young rich kids are a thing around here," Caleb commented with a laugh as he pulled Pogue a little closer to him, "I'm trying to imagine everyone in this space and figure out where we are going to put everything. I figure we can put Tyler in the room furthest away from everyone because he wants more quiet than the rest of us." It was definitely going to have to take some planning to put everyone in their right spaces and if they had to further sound proof Tyler's room they could handle it.
"Mm, fact," Pogue hummed gently as he took a moment to look around the bedroom they were stood in. "I'm pretty sure Tyler would appreciate the quiet. Reid'll probably want a lot of his own space." Guy was a cactus a lot of the time let alone first thing in the morning.
He pulled away but only to wander over to the nearby window to get a better look at the view.
"Is there a basement? We can go put him down there like a troll under the bridge," Caleb teased as he watched Pogue pull away to go towards the window. The view was really nice and Caleb was really looking forward to having some privacy in their backyard to just enjoy the scenery. He wasn't really sure if any of them would do much for gardening, but it could be interesting.
"So, what do you want to do about bedrooms? Do we want just one for both of us or should we each have our own room and share beds? The only upside for the second idea is two nice beds to sleep on." He really wasn't sure what the protocol for this was when moving in together in a place with more than one bedroom.
Gardening definitely wasn't something Pogue was enthused about let alone green fingered enough to be able to do well. Having a backyard however? That was amazing especially as the backyard was pretty fucking massive and had a beautiful pool.
He turned around and leaned back to rest against the edge of the windowsill, folding his arms across his chest and wrapping his biceps with his fingers. "I think us having a room each wouldn't be a bad thing, but..." Pogue trailed off and pushed away from the window to close the distance between himself and Caleb, thumbs hooking in the loops of the other man's jeans, using that grip to tug him closer. "We are definitely sharing beds."
Maybe they would hire someone to help spruce up the back yard because none of them were probably going to do it. Caleb was a little excited at the idea of Pogue mowing the lawn without a shirt on though and not to mention the pool. It would be nice to get back to some normalcy when it came to swimming; he was definitely missing it.
Caleb's heart dropped a bit when Pogue drew out the but off his statement. He was worried that he had overstepped some weird boundary and he had done the wrong thing. But things looked up when Pogue came over and drew him in and he couldn't help but chuckle at the sharing beds comment. "Oh definitely. I have no intention of letting you sleep anywhere else," He leaned in even closer, really hoping the realtor had gone to another spot in the house, "And who knows, some day down the road we'll get our own house with less bedrooms and we can be as loud as we want."
Pogue's lips pulled into a slow smile before he let his gaze flicker from Caleb's eyes to his mouth and back again. "Be those kind of neighbours, huh?" He chuckled softly. "You know the ones which everybody complains about because they're so fucking loud."
He had no idea where the realtor was but thankfully they'd left them alone for a bit.
"Oh definitely. I mean we're probably going to be that kind of neighbor already," Caleb quipped. The four of them in one house was definitely going to be loud, but hopefully their neighbors wouldn't completely hate them, "Should we go figure out what rooms we want to claim? I think there might be two next to each other and we could probably install a door unless you want to get as far away from me as possible." That comment brought forth a smile as he leaned forward to give Pogue a kiss.
"You've got a point there," Pogue muttered with a chuckle. "Let's try not to make enemies of our neighbours too early on, huh? Figure between all of us we can keep Reid on the same page." He snorted and returned the kiss before simply threaded his fingers through Caleb's hair. "Let's go find our rooms."
"You'll have to work on that more than me. Sometimes he just wants to argue," Caleb pointed out with a laugh as he leaned his head into Pogue's touch and gave him an easy smile, "Fiiiine, I'm pretty sure the realtor will come up here soon enough looking for us if we take too long anyway." He grabbed the hand that was in his hair, taking it into his own, and pulled Pogue along as they left that empty bedroom in search of the others and conveniently running into the realtor at the bottom of the stairs.
It was true that Reid did sometimes want to argue for the sake of arguing but that was kind of his thing. It was as though he enjoyed butting heads with Caleb given that Caleb was the eldest out of all of them and had adopted a semi-parental role and Reid, well, he'd never been very good with authority figures.
As they almost collided with the realtor Pogue offered an apologetic smile.
"So," she said, smile bright and eyes gleaming, "how do you like the place?"
Caleb definitely never asked to be the eldest out of all of them, but somehow it happened and he had become a de facto leader and he was always trying to do his best, but sometimes you couldn't be perfect all the time. But things would hopefully work out better once they made it through the dreams and figured things out here as the powers continued to grow.
Caleb let out a rough chuckle as they came face to face with her and gave her a nod, "I think we're definitely putting it at the top of the list. We were trying to figure who gets what bedroom."
"Always a challenge," the realtor agreed with a laugh. "The bright side is that you've seen the house so you both get first dibs. I'd highly recommend the bedroom that overlooks the garden."
Pogue tipped his head in curiosity. "And why's that?"
The realtor smiled. "You get woken with the sun."
"Ahh, sounds lovely," but not at all lovely to Caleb. He was a big fan of his sleep and even had black out curtains. Being woken up by the sun sounded like a horrendous concept to him, but at least the realtor was nice, "If you don't mind us walking around a bit more we'll chat with you once we're finished."
The realtor gave a nod and another smile, "Sounds good to me, I'll work on gathering up information for you about what would need to happen to move forward if you want to buy the house."
Pogue bit his lower lip and looked down as he could see the cogs turning in Caleb's mind as he knew better than anyone how much the other man hated early mornings. He really did love his sleep.
"Thanks," he cut in as he reached up to clasp Caleb's shoulder in his hand. "We'll just wander around some more."
As soon as they stepped away from the realtor where they couldn't be heard Caleb shook his head. "Tyler can have that bedroom. I'm definitely not taking it," he took a path down the hallway before they came across two bedrooms next to each other, "I think we could make this work if we like the location."
Pogue ducked into one of the bedrooms and then into the next and proclaimed, "I'll have this one. I mean, it's definitely going to have the most light and we both know how much you hate being woken up by that first thing." He on the other hand actually enjoyed it.
"I honestly should have been a vampire and not a witch," Caleb commented with a laugh. It was mainly that he really liked to get a good night's sleep after he stayed up way too late studying or working on projects. It was a little different now that Pogue was always in his bed because he usually ended up waking up whenever the other man did or else he'd tried to fall back asleep, "Only thing that's worth waking up to is you, by the way."
"No arguments here," Pogue answered with a teasing grin though his lips tugged into a softer smile at that admission from Caleb. "Well, that's good to know." He tugged Caleb into a kiss and then leaned back, tipping his head to take a better look at the room. "I think this is definitely the place."
