Grocery shopping was usually an easy and quick experience for Rapunzel because she was slightly obsessed with making sure to have a grocery list or else she would completely forget by the time she got there. Tonight she was trying to plan ahead with lunches and dinner ideas, which usually meant making a large meal and having leftovers since she lived alone. She also wanted to make something to drop by Klaus' gallery.

She hummed to herself as she made her way down the aisles and checked things off her list. She looked at her list as she turned the corner and then looked up to spot the next item. As luck would have it it was on the top shelf and her very short stature was never going to reach it. A frown passed over her lips before she went to look for someone taller to assist her. She spotted a man at the end of the aisle and approached him, "Hi, weird question, can you grab something off the shelf for me?"

Grocery shopping for Snart was basically walking down the aisle and just grabbing whatever looked appealing to him - which was usually beer and chips. Although he didn’t go to the store all that often he did like the freedom of being able to actually choose his food instead of being served whatever the prison kitchen was cooking up. Even though he mostly kept to his beer and chip diet (well and take out) he still liked to go down every aisle just to see what he could get if he wanted to.

Snart had just turned down an aisle that seemed to consist mostly of stuff for actual cooking. Yeah he wasn’t going to get anything here. He wanted to get out of that aisle as quickly as possible when a young woman stopped him asking for help. “Not sure that qualifies as a weird question.” Given where they were and all. He briefly considered telling her no because that was his normal reaction, but it would only take a second of his time and he was trying to blend into society or whatever. “What do you need?”

“Well, I only consider it weird because I don’t know you and I’m sure you don’t get short people coming up to you for help very often,” or maybe he did? She had no idea, but she knew she didn’t go up to a lot of strangers asking for their assistance with items on the high shelf, “But thank you. It’s right over here.” She nodded to the aisle behind her.

She lead him into the aisle that was full of canned fruit and their respective juices along with vegetables and some random crackers on the other side. Rapunzel had no idea who did the layout, but it was a little weird. She walked to just about middle and pointed upwards, “There’s a bag of dried dragon fruit up there at the top. It’s a bit too far back for me to get it, so I would appreciate your help.”

Snart followed her to the aisle. This had to qualify as his good deed for the day, hell maybe even the week. Not that he even really cared about good deeds in the first place. But whatever, he had gotten himself into the situation now. Might as well follow through. “Dragon fruit?” he asked. He didn’t even know that was a thing. And he couldn’t help the next question that came out of his mouth. “What do you need that for?” he grabbed the bag handing it over to her.
“Thank you so much!! Ooo, Dragon fruit is really good. I usually sprinkle some of the dry stuff into smoothies and now I’m trying to replicate this new Starbucks,” Rapunzel explained with a bit of a laugh, “I also get the regular fruit so I can use the juice. It’s a bit of a weird thing, but it’s really tasty when mixed together.” She liked trying new food and that extended to fruits that she wouldn’t normally eat. She knew it seemed weird, but he had asked, so she might as well let him know and what uses it had.

“No problem,” Snart replied with a small shrug not giving much acknowledgement to the way she went on about dragonfruit. He didn’t go to Starbucks or make smoothies so it wasn’t of much interest to him. Though he supposed it was nice of her to explain. “Well now I know,” Start replied casually. “Is that all?” he asked referring to her needing help with reaching things.

“Sorry, I like to talk a lot,” Rapunzel couldn’t help but chuckle a little at her explanation. Sometimes she explained things for no reason and couldn’t help it, “And no thank you. I think I am good, but thank you again for your help. I greatly appreciate it.” She gave him a beaming smile. She wasn’t sure if she should introduce herself to him or just let him go on his way, but was leaning towards the latter.

“I noticed,” Snart muttered though there was a bit of an amused smirk on his face. “No problem,” he added with a shrug. Though she was right. He didn’t care much for introductions. “Have a good day.”
