Lydia for the most part had felt off. She wasn’t certain what caused it or why she was feeling that way, but she was. Deciding on it, she had told Mitch that she was going to stay home for the day and try and rest. Assuming she felt off because of everything on her plate with school, work and the dreams. So far, the day had gone as normal. Nothing out of the ordinary, and when mitch returned home Lydia was happy to see him, all smiles and feeling like her old self once again. “I’m going to take a nap.” She told mitch, since she was feeling a bit fatigued suddenly and her head felt like it was buzzing suddenly. Something she hadn’t felt before and assumed a quick nap would help relieve the pressure. She couldn’t have been more wrong. What was supposed to be a simple fifteen minute nap, turned into fifteen minutes of hell, as lydia found herself smack dead in a dream. She hadn’t dreamt in a while so it was expected. She just hoped it would have waited a little longer. The buzzing sound she felt earlier only seemed to intensify It wasn’t until Stiles repeatedly told Lydia to scream in her dreams that she did. Which only caused her to jolt up in her sleep and like her dream Lydia had let out a high pitched scream that rattled the walls of the apartment, as well as breaking the mirrors and blowing out the windows before she had fallen back into the mattress. --. It felt good to go back to work. Mitch had had enough of being stuck at home and doing nothing. Although the past few weeks he had been going out and doing stuff with Anna since Lydia was busy with school and other shit. Once he returned home he had plopped down on the couch and glanced over at Lydia. “Okay,” was all he said as he watched her get up and head into the bedroom for her nap. Since she was doing that, he grabbed his phone and started to look through the network, see if anyone had been talking about anything interesting. Nothing. He set the phone down got up and headed into the kitchen just as Lydia decided to scream her head off. He had quickly covered his ears when it happened. He also ducked and tried to shield his face from any glass that had shattered from Lydia’s scream. Once it was over, he slowly dropped his hands form his ears and stood up. With a glance around, he went into the bedroom and stared at Lydia who was still on the bed. “What the fuck was that about?” * The scream had woken Lydia up, that was for sure. She sat up and noted the glass broken in the room and the look on Mitch’s face, which only caused her to bring her hand through her hair and sighed deeply. “I had a dream..” She said as she came to grab at her sandals and slip them on her feet so not to cut herself. “I kept hearing a buzzing sound all day, seems it was happening in the dreams. Stiles told me to scream.. So I screamed…” She said rubbing at her face for a moment. “I must have screamed here too… I’m sorry if I scared you.” She said pouting a bit as she looked over at Mitch once more. -- “Clearly.” Every time she screamed it was because of those fucking dreams. He still wished he knew why they had to have them. They were torture. “Yeah, well, you really screamed this time.” He glanced around the place. More widows and mirrors were broken. This was going to be fun to clean up. “You didn’t scare me,” he told her. “So, why was Stiles telling you to scream?” * When he mentioned not scaring him she nodded. Only to think about the dream.”A death row inmate came to the hospital at Beacon Hills and escaped. He mentioned having to kill the kids with glowing eyes… Which is basically anyone who is a werewolf, since he seemed to encounter them in the past.” She said sighing again. “Anyways, I kept hearing a buzzing sound and I mentioned it to Stiles and Scott that it makes me want to scream, so that’s when Stiles told me to scream. And I did.” -- Mitch listened as Lydia told him her dream and why Stiles had told her to scream which lead to her actually screaming. “I see.” He really had nothing else to say to it. What else was there to say? “You’re going to need to find a way to control your screaming or we’re going to end up getting kicked out from all the damage you keep causing.” He wasn’t being mean about it. He was just being truthful. “Let’s get this stuff cleaned up,” he said before turning and heading to the broom closet to get what they would need to clean up all of the glass. * Lydia was about to say something, until Mitch started moving to to gran the broom and dust pan. She followed behind him for the moment. “I’ll clean. It’s my mess.” She said taking the broom from him as she started sweeping up the broken glass in the bedroom. She thought for a moment though. “Hrm.. Maybe we can soundproof the bedroom?” She said unsure as she glanced over at Mitch. The other option wasn’t something she wanted to think about. -- “Okay…” He wasn’t going to fight her for the broom, so he let her take it and then followed her back towards the bedroom. “How? I don’t think putting stuff on the walls is really going to work.” And it wasn’t like they could tear the walls down and really soundproof them. * She thought for a moment. Once the glass was cleaned up from the bedroom and discarded it in the trash. She thought again and sighed . “... I don’t want you getting in trouble because of me.” She said as she looked over at Mitch for the moment. “I can’t control the dreams, or the screams either. I don’t know how too.. They just happen…Do.. Do you want me to leave me?” She asked as she fidgeted with her fingers for the moment. ‘ -- Mitch leaned against the doorway, arms crossed. He didn’t want to get into trouble. He didn’t want them to get kicked out of the apartment. But if she didn’t control her screaming he had a feeling they were going to get the boot. “I don’t want you to leave. But we’re going to have to do something about your screaming.” * She nodded her head. “I don’t wanna leave either.” She said thinking a moment. “Hrm, I’ll look into how to control the screams. Maybe figure out a trigger for them and then try to move somewhere secluded to let it out.” She said looking over to Mitch. Unsure if that would even work. - Mitch thought about it for a moment before speaking. “You do have something that kind of warns you that it’s coming. You mentioned buzzing. Maybe that’s your warning that the screams are coming.” He hoped he was right. He was just guessing after all. He wasn’t having those bizarre dreams. He had his own that he was dealing with. * “That is true, and if screaming is going to be a frequent thing in my dreams, I should look out for signals when I’m awake.. It’s when I’m already asleep that I’m worried about. But hopefully, like you mentioned I’ll have some inkling of a warning.” She said rubbing her arm a bit.. “Why couldn’t I have normal dreams.” She said shaking her head at this point. -- “Maybe you’ll still have that buzzing feeling before you go to sleep? You did this time.” He hoped maybe that would happen every time she felt the need to scream while both awake and asleep. “Because none of us are allowed to have normal dreams.” He pushed himself away from the door frame. “Come on, let’s get the rest of the mess cleaned up and then do something that doesn’t involve cleaning or dreaming.” * She nodded her head as she came up beside Mitch to help clean up the rest of her mess. “Let’s go to the beach.” She said, knowing very well it was night time, but to her that was always the best time for going to the beach and relaxing. Just a nice night by the ocean with mitch to unwind and forget all the crazy shit . |
