"I'm sure the cameras would love to follow you around," Nikola purred, giving her a smile. She was one of the most stunning creatures he'd ever laid eyes on, and part of her charm came in her modesty. "Celebrities like that must not be human," he added. "It's impossible to be that perfect all of the time."
"They're pretty all right. But not my style." He had three TAs and they were all graduate students from his department. All very, very geeky boys. He saw a lot of himself in them, though, and did his best to encourage their talent.
"You probably wouldn't have heard of any of the inventions for which I have patents. Or have sold patents," he added. "I worked in aerodynamics for a while, and in proton acceleration, but that's not the most interesting of topics for conversation."
