For once Cisco felt like cooking. It was Taco Tuesday after all. Tacos ought to be had. He didn’t feel much like going out, so he actually bothered to pick up ingredients on the way home from work. Taco meat that was seasoned, shells, all the goods. Hey just because he went out often, didn’t mean he couldn’t cook. He just didn’t enjoy it as much when it was just for himself, but he figured he’d surprise Stiles. Soon enough the scent of taco meat was filling the house around nine PM. He had a shorter day here and there, he had to admit it was helping. Wednesdays were therapy days, tuesdays were half days and the rest of the week was regular until the weekend. He was far less stressed out these days as a result. He had his hair tied back so none of it got in the taco meat, because that was nasty. Hey, he was sanitary about it all at least. He thought about texting Stiles, but then refrained figuring the scent would eventually draw him in. --- Stiles sent his last text to Derek and then tossed his phone to the side. That wasn’t exactly how he pictured the conversation going. Honestly, he really hadn’t been too sure how Derek would react to the news. The calmness was surprising. But the mhmming made him think Derek was feeling anything but calm about the fact that Stiles and Cisco were now together. With a sigh, he grabbed the phone, pocketed it and got up. Once he walked out of his bedroom, that’s when he could smell the food cooking. Now the question was, who was cooking? Cisco or his dad? He made his way into the kitchen and smiled a little when she was that it was Cisco cooking. “Finally, you cook!” He teased as he walked further into the kitchen and then hopped up and sat on the counter. “I was starting to think I was the only one who did such a thing.” * “Tsk, with a comment like that maybe I only made myself half a dozen tacos.” He teased as he began building one. All th things were laid out though, cheese, tomato bits, sour cream. All the things. It was a lot for one person, but he would keep that rouse up as long as humanly possible. For him-that wasn’t long. As Stiles joined him he smiled a little more. He liked coming home to him. It felt much better than an empty house. “I cook plenty. I...okay, I microwave. And order. But it’s the same concept. Food appears.” He gave him a look. * Stiles looked at all the food and then looked at Cisco before laughing. “Yeah, right. I’d love to see you eat all of that. But I’m saying this right now; I’m not picking up your bits once you pop.” He was staring at Cisco, shaking his head. “Ordering food and microwaving is not cooking.” He reached out and playfully pushed Cisco. “Don’t you wish that we could just snap our fingers and it did appear? No work necessary.” * “Don’t you tempt me. Better start making one before I try. I was thinking we’d go out, but once in a while I can surprise you too you know.” He gave him a nudge back and toward the food. “There’s cheese and stuff too, make whatever you want.” The taco shells they had were crispy and soft, options were available. Just because they didn’t do fancy restaurants didn’t mean Cisco wouldn’t stop trying to impress Stiles one way or another. “Besides it’s taco tuesday. So I mean what kind of life is that without tacos?” A sad life, a half life. “We kinda can, uber eats. But they are so slow I might die before delivery arrives.” He made a face. * “Yeaaaaaah, I better shut up. I don’t want you to have that thought in your head.” He hopped off of the counter and grabbed a plate. He did not need to be told twice to get food. And especially not when it was tacos. Yum. He grabbed a couple of the crispy shell and started to build his tacos. “A bad life,” he said with a glance over at Cisco. “And don’t forget how expensive those apps are.” He never used them. He thought the prices were stupid and he always figured it was quicker to go himself and normally it was. “So, I finally talked to Derek…” * Cisco barely cooked these days. He enjoyed Stiles’ cooking often though. “Besides...consider it a thank you, for Disney. I mean it’s nowhere near as fancy but I tried.” Honestly most Disney food wasn’t fancy either. When it came to Mexican food though, Cisco was king. It helped being raised up in a Latino family. Most of what they ate was various forms of Mexican. He finished building a couple tacos. One of each verity, soft shells and hard and sat on the other side of the little counter. “I know. I don’t really care about the price, it’s the quality that bugs. By the time they get it to you it’s cold anyway and you’re starving.” He rolled his eyes. They were more of a hassle than they were worth. For Cisco sometimes they were easier since he didn’t drive, but he’d been having the idea to use his drone lately and try drone pickup..maybe that would be a thing. “Told Derek…? OH about us?” He could be oblivious sometimes. “How did that go?” concerned glance over at him. Cisco hadn’t put any pressure on him to do it, he knew it wasn’t going to be easy. He trusted him to do it at some point. * “Well, I will happily take this offer of thanks.” It was tacos. Like he’d ever say no to tacos. Well, unless they tasted bad. Then that would be the only time. “I don’t need fancy. I think we’ve learned that.” They hadn’t lasted long in that fancy smancy restaurant at Disneyland. “I do. If I’m going to pay that much then I better get food that’s still hot.” More times than not it wasn’t hot. Or the idiot driver got lost. So, Stiles was fine getting his own food. “Yeah.” He set his plate down and then grabbed his phone. It was still on the tread, so he scrolled up to the start of the conversation and then handed his phone over to Cisco. “Read it.” * Cisco laughed at that. “Yeah, no more fancy for us. Until Taco bell resort. They can give me fancy taco bell room service any day.” He grinned as he bit into his own taco and grabbed a soda as well. There was plenty of alcohol to if needed, but for the time being he stuck to the soda. “Point, I’ll just tip you wheel man.” He teased. When Stiles told him to take a look at the conversation, he did and frowned a bit as he scrolled through it. “Are you okay?” He wasn’t sure how to respond to Derek. “Want me to shoot him again?” He added with a half joking smile. * “It’s Taco Bell. I don’t think it’ll be too fancy.” Fancy and Taco Bell together just didn’t compute. Unlike Cisco, he grabbed a beer instead of soda. “You can tip me in kisses and blow jobs.” He grinned at Cisco. He shrugged at the question. “I don’t know. I’m not really sure how to take the conversation. You saw what he said. But the way he started talking to me said something different. I’m just confused by it.” He didn’t feel bad about wanting to try things out with Cisco. He just felt a little bad that he might have hurt Derek. That hadn’t been his intention. He never wanted to hurt anyone. “Heh, no.” * “Mm point. It’d be weird, cool but weird. What if they have taco bell waiters in suits with fancy gloves…” He was very amused at his little daydream until Stiles said something about his tips and he snickered. “I think that can be arranged.” Those comments still threw him off guard at times, but now he could respond with a quip of his own and not be horrifically out of place. For a moment he was quiet except for the chewing of a taco while he thought of what to say in response. “Um...you don’t regret this do you? I mean ..I don’t know.” He’d be a little broken if he did but eventually he’d recover. Did he say yes to him because he felt like he had to? That would suck. “Offer stands.” * “Okay, that sounds weird. I hope it’s nothing like that. I’m just hoping everything is taco bell themed and that’s about it.” He was grinning now. For a moment there, he thought Cisco might look at him with the same horrific look he used to give him any time he brought something sexual up. “Oh. Well. You owe me lots of tips.” He took a bite of his own taco before grabbing his plate and drink and sat down at the table. He didn’t wanna stand and eat. “No,” he said with a shake of his head, “I don’t regret this at all. I wouldn’t change anything that’s happened between us so far. The conversation is only bothering me because…I guess I just wanted a real response to how he actually felt. Not…whatever that was.” He thought about it for a moment and then said, “Nah. There will be no icing anybody.” Even if it sounded like a good idea at the moment. * Nope he’d been desensitized to at least some of those comments. Not all, but some. He snickered. “Well then I guess we’ll have to get started tonight.” Tacos and blow jobs. That’s what you got when you signed onto dating him. “Maybe he doesn’t know how to respond either. How can you just fuck somebody without caring about them?” It wasn’t a thing Cisco understood, the concept of fuck buddies like they’d become went right over his head. The guy had enjoyed the experience so maybe he was sad it was over but didn’t know how to say it. The engineer put down the phone, not really wanting to see Derek’s name anymore than he had to as he shoveled more taco in his mouth. “Maybe at some point he’ll catch up and give you an answer.” Cisco really didn’t want to defend Derek. “Or maybe I should just ice him and then stick him in the freezer at the Agency.” He said that like he’d thought about it before. Oops. He had. * “You read my mind.” If saying that stuff didn’t get to Cisco, he wondered if the other stuff would bother him anymore. It was different now. They were together. Stiles wasn’t talking about doing that stuff with other people like he had before. “I don’t know. I mean, I cared to a point. I wasn’t falling in love with him or anything.” He never really knew how Derek felt about anything. It wasn’t like the guy ever really shared his feelings. And it didn’t look like that would happen anytime soon either. “Maybe. Maybe not. Whatever. I told him what he needed to know. He can act however he wants.” They hadn’t been dating. It wasn’t anything serious, not in Stiles’ eyes. So, Derek could act however he wanted. Stiles was moving on. “How long have you been wanting to say that?” he asked before taking a bite of food. * This conversation sucked, Cisco wasn’t pretending to be happy to hear that Stiles was struggling about the decision to tell Derek. A little bit of guilt settled in on him and he didn’t like it. For a moment he was quiet. He didn’t really know what to say about things with Derek. It was clear he wasn’t the guy biggest fan, but he didn’t want to hurt Stiles so he kept his mouth shut on the topic except for his little gem about icing him. “A while now. I may have dreamt vivid dreams about it.” Wellp, this was a fun topic. He frowned a bit as he watched that phone idly just hoping his brain didn’t decide to spiral into unfun territory. He tried to avoid that by shoving more taco in his mouth instead. * “I know you didn’t like him because I was with him. But I feel like there was something else about him that you didn’t like. So, what is it?” Stiles had been curious about that for a long while now. And honestly, the curiosity wasn’t going to die until he got his answer. * “I get weird vibes off the guy.” He frowned a bit, he’d been referring to his meta abilities as vibes lately. Sometimes he got energies off of people, and Derek’s wasn’t so hot. “I get them from people sometimes. Like an..aura, or a feeling. His just sort of rubs me the wrong way. Like that Danny guy.” He wasn’t sure how to explain it, the things his powers did sometimes with people. Like they amplified negative things if Cisco associated something negative. It occasionally got confusing what was powers and what was him not liking a person. That answer aside, he wasn’t sure if he should elaborate or not. There were other things, but that was a major thing. * “I wonder if you’re picking up on his dream self. Just a weird theory. He’s a total jackass in my dreams. But he didn’t act like that when we hung out.” It wasn’t like Stiles was going to try and make Cisco like Derek. Hell, he wasn’t even sure if Derek wanted anything to do with him anymore. So, did it really matter? Not really. “Let’s talk about something else.” He really didn’t want this whole Derek thing to bring them both down. * “I don’t know, I tried to be fine with it before but apparently it didn’t come off too well. It’s rough to hide if it happens. We talked and came to an understanding recently after I shot him, but I don’t know. I’m still not his biggest fan. He reminds me of some bullies I used to know and I can’t shake it. It could be that.” It might have been that for all he knew. Cisco nodded and agreed to that, Derek was a bit of a sore subject for him too. He hoped it didn’t come between them. He was determined not to let him, if he had to fight for Stiles he would. “I told Barry about us when he came over the other night. He seemed happy for us.” * “I didn’t know you two talked afterward. I’ll never make you be his friend.” Stiles wasn’t like that. He wouldn’t force Cisco to be friends with Derek or even make him talk to him. He wasn’t even sure if Derek would actually talk to him again. “It could be that,” he said with a slight shrug. “Are you going to stand there and eat the whole time?” he asked wondering if Cisco was ever going to sit down at the table with him or not. “Oh? At least he’s happy for us.” he finished off his first taco and started to eat the next one. * “I know. I just didn’t want things to be awkward, and he messaged me about icing him so it’d be kind of a dick move not to respond..and you were with him or whatever you two were at the time.” He’d made an effort to at least be okay with Derek even if he didn’t love the guy or want to be his bestie. He at least wanted to exist in the same room. “What? Oh..” He gave a grin, he’d forgotten while they were talking about Derek. It wasn’t his favorite subject. He loaded up another taco or two before joining Stiles finally. “Yeah, he seemed to be. First one to say boyfriend even.” He gave a little laugh at that. “It was kinda nice hearing it.” The word took some getting used to, but mainly because he’d never even had a significant other. Boy or otherwise. * “Now you can ignore him if you wanted.” Honestly, he didn’t care anymore. Actually, he was getting kind of tired of this subject. “Duh, Cisco,” Stiles teased. “Did you giggle like a schoolgirl when he said it?” Yeah, he was going to keep messing with Cisco. It was fun, plus it was taking his mind off of the crappy conversation he had with Derek. * “Hmm.” Was his slightly skeptical response to that comment, but he didn’t want to upset Stiles by saying anything else so he just shrugged. “We’ll see.” And shoved a bit of taco in his mouth. Okay, Tacos were a good idea. He practically choked on a bit of one at Stiles’ question though and gave him an annoyed look. “ I did no such thing.” He flicked a cherry tomato at him like any mature adult might. Someone annoys you, flick food at them. “I wasn’t gonna say anything. I guess I was being a bit paranoid though, it turned out okay.” Better than okay really. * Stiles didn’t say anything to the hmm. It would have made them stay on the subject and he honestly didn’t want to be on that subject anymore. They needed a new one. “Yeah, right.” He laughed. “You totally did giggle. You probably squee’d and did a little dance, too.” He looked down at the tomato and then looked up at Cisco, shock on his face. “How dare you!” He flicked the tomato back. “What were you being paranoid about?” Stiles only took so long to talk to Derek because he had been having too much fun with Cisco and he was kind of being lazy about it too. But it was out of the way now. He could move on. * “I think you’re thinking of someone else.” Cisco rolled his eyes a bit as he smirked at Stiles’ horror. “That’s what you get for making up stories.” He stuck out his tongue at him. And again that tomato ended up over by Stiles as Cisco flicked it back. A smirk on his face. “You’ve seen how my family treats me most of the time right? When I love something it isn’t treated well..”I’m used to losing things I love. Family if I say or do the wrong thing..I didn’t want to risk that happening to you.” * “Am I?” And there was the damn tomato again. “You like my stories. They’re awesome.” He flicked the tomato back except this time he flicked it hard enough to bounce off of Cisco’s arm and onto the floor. “I win.” Just then Oreo seemed to come out of nowhere to eat it. “Or maybe Oreo won that one.” He smirked right back at Cisco before taking a huge bite of his taco. “Yeah, but Barry doesn’t treat you like that, right? He seems pretty cool about most things. At least that’s how it sounds from the stuff you’ve told me.” But he did get where Cisco was coming from. “I get it, though. I have the same fears. Mine just come out of something different.” * “Only some of them.” He snickered as the tomato attacked Stiles again. “This one’s not your best.” Finally they were off the topic of Derek and surprise surprise, he felt better. Cisco reached for that little tomato, but the dog got there first and he eyed her. “Brat.” He scoffed at the dog who was very pleased with herself. “No, that’s why I thought he should be the first to know.” He wanted to share it with someone he wasn’t threatened by. Barry was very much that. He felt safe around him, like he could tell him just about anything and Barry would be fine with it. “I’m not used to having good things last. I thought maybe staying quiet it would last longer. “ When Stiles admitted the same, Cisco raised an eyebrow. “You do?” * “Don’t lie. You know this one of the best ones that I have ever told!” He snickered when Oreo beat Cisco to the tomato. “She seems pretty happy that she beat you to it. Don’t be so slow next time.” He reached down and gave Oreo a quick scratch behind the ear. “I don’t know when I’ll tell Lydia.” He really hadn’t thought about it since he had been too busy wondering when he would tell Derek. Maybe he’ll tell her the next time they spoke, whenever that may be. “Yeah. It’s why I kept asking you the first night if you were sure about it. And it’s why I don’t really want to label it right now. I just...I feel like whenever I finally start getting too close to somebody they leave. I don’t want to lose you.” * “You’re the liar here.” He gave an exasperated dead panned expresion at him as he finished off another taco “Greedy mutt. She’s lucky she’s cute.” Not that Cisco would hurt a fly on purpose. He could never hurt a dog. The threat was empty and the dog seemed to know it. She paid him zero mind. “Maybe we don’t tell anyone else right now, just take it slow.” Cisco was totally fine not telling the world yet. “Besides, I kinda like just having you to myself too.” He gave a playful little smile as he reached over and squeezed his arm. “Hey, just because we’re together now doesn’t mean I’m going anywhere. You’re stuck with me. Hate to break it to you.” He teased as he sobered a little then after. “God we make a pair. “ He gave him a sympathetic look, because he understood that. It was why he hadn’t called him that term immediately either. “We’ve been close before all this, just because we’re closer now doesn’t mean I’m suddenly going to ditch you. I mean, who else shoots someone just to get more time with them.” He smirked, trying to lighten things a little more. * Stiles shook his head. “Nope. Not me. I never lie.” He looked at Cisco with an innocent look, batting his eye to add to it all. “Ha. You probably eat twice as much as she does.” He glanced down at Oreo and smiled at her. “I’m okay with that,” he said, giving his attention to Cisco once again. “Well, what do you know, I like having you to myself as well.” He really wasn’t in a hurry to tell anyone. If it came up in conversation, okay. But he wasn’t ready to go shout it to the world just yet. “Deep down, I know that. But I still have that little voice in my head telling me that you’ll go just like everyone else.” He sighed. “Don’t we?” They both had problems. But they were bound to get past them. A small smile slowly started to cross his lips before he started to laugh. “Yeah, just you. You're the only one that would do something like that.” * Cisco stared at Stiles. Then stared a little longer before he also laughed at that statement and practically choked on a taco for dramatic effect. “Now that’s the best story you’ve ever told me.” He snickered and waved a hand off about the food comment. “Yeah yeah. Still.” He gave a roll of his eyes. “Oh good. That’s a good answer.” Anything else would have suckd probably. “So there, no more need to worry about it. Talk about it if you want, but honestly I’m not in a huge rush. I kinda like having something that’s just ours.” They could tell Lydia eventually and when the timing was right for both of them. “Well now you know I’m not just fucking with you and I’ll ice anyone who says otherwise.” He tried for a serious expression. He wasn’t sure how well it came off. “How about we shut that voice up on the couch over there.” He stood, reaching for Stiles’ hand and tugging at him a little. * Stiles glared at Cisco and then flipped him off before he started to laugh again. “Yeah, yeah. Just suck it up and accept that you were just too slow.” So, it looked like only Barry and Derek would know about their relationship and that was perfectly fine with Stiles. He honestly didn’t care if anyone knew. It was their thing. Nobody else’s. “I don’t think I’ll be sharing anytime soon.” He didn’t really talk to too many people. Not about anything important anyway. “I know. Just try not to go ice crazy, huh? I don’t need you locked up.” He finished off his food and pushed the now empty plate away. He glanced to the couch and then back at Cisco. “Okay.” He grinned and then stood up. The second Cisco did the same; he jumped on him and said, “Carry me!” * That gesture earned a laugh from the engineer as he gave him a sweet smile in response and sipped some water with amusement. “I’ll suck something up, but it won’t be your lies.” He teased with a smirk. “I’m good with that.” Whatever Stiles decided when it came to sharing was fine. He wanted to be with him, he didn’t care what the world thought. Barry accepted them, that was the person who’d mattered most in knowing to him. The closest person to him aside from Stiles himself. As he stood and suddenly found Stiles in his arms he blinked. “Dios don’t do that.” He struggled, but he managed to deposit him on the couch before sliding up next to him and pulling Stiles onto his lap. “Tacos and sex...we should have done this a lot sooner really.” * “Promises, promises,” he said with a wave of his hand like he didn’t believe anything that Cisco was saying. “So, we’re allowed to talk about it, but only if we really feel like it. It all sounds good to me.” Honestly, when he jumped onto Cisco, he had no idea if they would crash to the ground or not. He was surprised that they were staying up right. “But it’s fun,” he said as he held on tighter so that he wouldn’t be the one to crash to the ground. Once they were at the couch, he let go and let himself be pulled onto Cisco’s lap. “Seriously. Next time don’t take forever to feel the need to cook.” He smiled at Cisco before leaning in and kissing him. * “Shut up. You’re lucky I don’t just drop you on the floor” He laughed as he looked up at him with a nod. “Less pressure. I’m not in any rush.” They could just enjoy the start phase. It was a good phase. It involved a lot of sex. Cisco was just fine with that. And this is why they needed their own place. He didn’t even care enough to drag him upstairs, nope he was perfectly happy to do this right on the couch for a bit. Poor Noah. Now they’d never look at the couch the same way again. A hand settled at Stiles’ waist a he leaned in and he returned that kiss. Drawing him in a little closer for a second one, he smirked into it “You’re wearing far too many things.” A pause between kisses as he laughed a little. “Noted. I suddenly like cooking more.” * “If you drop me, I’m bringing you along with me,” Stiles warned. And he would too. He would hold on as tight as possible and bring Cisco to the ground with him. “Our little secret. Well. Sort of.” A few people knew. But he didn’t think they would go around telling people. So, yeah, it was kind of like their own little private thing. It was kind of hot. He stole one more kiss before pulling away. “Yeah, you’re right, I do.” He climbed off of Cisco and stood up. He kicked off his shoes and then pulled his socks off. He climbed right back onto Cisco, straddling him. “Now I have less on,” he said with a laugh. He knew that wasn’t what Cisco was going for, but he had to have a little fun with it. “And you should definitely cook more. It was good.” * “Sexy secret.” He snickered before returning that kiss and trying to pull Stiles back. It failed, and he was ditching his shoes and sliding back on his lap. Giving him a deadpanned expression as only the socks left. Fortunately for them both then, Cisco was stronger than he looked since he was able to lift a grown man. “That’s not what I meant.” He scoffed as he found a bit of skin on his neck to tease. “If if it ends like this, I’ll cook evey fucking night.” Or he’d order and claim it whatever happened first. His hands pulled at his shirt, fine he’d do it himself. He was not known for patience. * “It’s not?” Stiles knew that it wasn’t. He knew exactly what Cisco wanted. It was more fun, at the moment, not to give Cisco wanted he wanted right away. He tilted his head a little, letting Cisco have a little more access to his neck. “Now this I want to see.” Did he really think cisco would cook every night, nope! But he wanted to see if he would actually go through with it. “Oh, I’m sorry, do you want my shirt off?” he asked as he sat up and helped pull the shirt off and dropped it to the floor. “Yours needs to go as well.” He was already grabbing at Cisco’s shirt and pulling it off. * “Whatever you want.” Apparently he was addicted to him. But would he even cook tomorrow? Probably not. “Stupid shirt.” Evil shirt apparently. He probably would have agreed to just about anything right then. As long as it ended sex. “Do we move upstairs or do we care?” He wasn’t so sure he cared at this point anymore. * “Whatever I want, huh? I’ll have to remember that,” he said with a mischievous look in his eyes. “Uh huh.” He pulled Cisco’s shirt off and then tossed it over his shoulder not caring where it went. He leaned in and kissed Cisco on the lips again and then moved along his jaw and now towards his neck, stopping when Cisco asked the question. “I don’t want to move, but I don’t want to get caught. Been there and done that and it wasn’t fun.” He really did not want that awkwardness with his dad again and he seriously doubted Cisco would want it either. “Let’s go to one of our bedrooms.” As much as he didn’t want to move, he climbed off of Cisco once again, grabbed him by the hand and pulled him up. “Come on.” * “I’m going to regret saying that out loud aren’t I?” He snickered as he returned that kiss and tilted his head a little to give a bit more room. When he spoke, he frowned since it made Stiles stop and get up. An irritated sort of whiny sound “Fineee.” He didn’t particularly want to get caught by a parent either. “More reason tomorrow we really should look at listings. Imagine all the sex.” He smirked as he let Stiles lead him upstairs. --- “Maybe!” Stiles said with the look still in his eyes. He was definitely going to have fun with it. “Hm, yeah, okay. Tomorrow we will dedicate it to house hunting. But for now, I want to focus on other things.” He pulled Cisco into his bedroom and then shut and locked the door so they wouldn’t be disturbed. |
