Who:Cisco and Stiles
What:DISNEY LAND GALAXIES EDGE
When:Weekend of the 31st
Warnings:shenanigans
Rating:Low
Getting a hotel had been a good plan. Cisco still had problems in crowds, but at least this way they were able to come back and regroup so he could go back out again without a nervous breakdown happening instead. The times he needed to recover were less and less as well. He was glad, he’d had a few worries about a place like this but now he knew he could handle it. All things aside he’d done pretty well. No visions, nothing he couldn’t handle as far as panic attacks went. It was all good.
And now he was starving. He’d been lurking around on the bed when he realized what time it was. “Hey, I forgot to tell you-we have a reservation tonight.” He announced with a smirk. Sure there was park food, but he wanted to impress Stiles. Take him somewhere ridiculous he wouldn’t forget.
---
Stiles had been sitting a chair, flipping through the channels on the TV while he waited for Cisco to calm down. He would have been on the bed with Cisco, but he had a feeling if he did that he would more than likely pass out. So, the chair and the TV were his best options.
He quit with the channel surfing when Cisco spoke. “Oh? Reservations where? And for what time?”
*
Cisco couldn’t sleep like this, it was like every nerve in his body was on fire when it happened. He didn’t let those potential panic attacks stop him from enjoying the park though. Nor would he let them stop him from taking Stiles someplace fancy. “Place called Napa Rose in about an hour.” A smirk crept into his lips.
“No dress code, but it says we should dress nicer than park tees.” So he wanted to take Stiles out, nobody they knew was there. It could be a chance to see what this dating thing was all about without pressure.
*
“Isn’t that one of those semi-fancy places?” He remembered the name, but he had never been. “I’m guessing buttoning up my plaid shirt doesn’t count as dressing a little nicer than a t-shirt,” he joking said. “I don’t think I have anything nice-ish.” He hadn’t planned for anything like that. It was all shirts and his plaid button ups that he wore over his t-shirts.
*
“Well then, at least cleaner than the sweaty stuff we’re wearing already.” Cisco teased in return. He could go for a shower anyway now that his mind was finally settling a bit. “Yeah, it’s apparently Michelin Star rated.” Honestly it was fine Stiles didn’t have anything fancy, it meant he wouldn’t have to wear anything fancy either. They weren’t going to be kicked out or anything.
*
“I can do that, I guess. I mean it’s so much work to change clothes,” he said with an exaggerated sigh. “If it’s in an hour, maybe we should stop fucking around and start getting ready.” He turned the TV off and stood up. “Okay, that’s pretty fancy” And that would be why Stiles had never gone there. He was totally fine with the non fancy park food. “Chop, chop,” he said as he grabbed Cisco by the ankles and started to pull him towards the edge of the bed.
*
“Yep. I wanted to take you out.” He gave a wink, but it turned into an undignified little yelp as Stiles pulled him off the bed. “Hey wait!” It was too late though, feet were already getting on the floor. He gave him a playful nudge of his foot and snickered. “I could always pull them off for you. But we might miss dinner. I want to see what this bougie place is all about.” He’d never eaten at anyplace quite this fancy.
*
“Can’t wait. It’s too late,” he said as he gave Cisco another tug before he let go, letting Cisco feet hit the ground. “You could.” Stiles moved closer, only stopping because his legs hit the mattress. “But you’re right, we’d miss dinner.” He gave Cisco a quick kiss on the lips before moving away. “It’s about paying far too much for a plate of food,” he sarcastically said while also smiling. “But we won't find out if you don’t get moving.”
*
Cisco wanted to pull him back for another kiss, but they had to start moving. “I don’t mind paying if it’s you.” There wasn’t much he wouldn’t do for Stiles. Including pay ridiculous amounts of money for a steak dinner. He stood almost reluctantly. If they didn’t have to leave he’d have been pulling him back on that bed. Breaking it in. The ideas he had for that room later. A longing glance back before he moved for the small bag he brought. He sifted past a button down shirt onto a Star Wars themed one. Whatever, at least it was appropriate for the weekend. Fancy or not.
Since when did he get nerves with Stiles?...Yet there they were. He fidged for a minute with his phone as he confirmed the reservation and nearly dropped it.
*
Stiles grabbed his own bag and set it down on the bed. “You might change you mind when the bill comes,” he joked as he opened his bag and started looking through it. He glanced up in time to see Cisco fumble with his phone. He snickered before asking, “Are you having problems over there? Are you going to be able to take a shower without fumbling and falling?” Yes, he had to pick on Cisco. He wasn’t going to change that just because they decided to become more than friends.
*
“Nope. This is a thing and we’re doing the thing.” He was very articulate, shut up Stiles. As he grabbed a pair of pants and a shirt to at least be less park gross, he rolled his eyes. “Bite me.” At the teasing and smirked as he headed for the shower. It was warm, but it wasn’t anywhere near Florida’s level. He’d looked at it while they were in the park earlier. It was a hundred degrees there. A shower wouldn’t have even helped that level of heat. Cisco tied his hair back so it didn’t get in the way and let the water heat up. “I think I’m moving into this hotel and living in the shower by the way.” It was huge, he’d made sure to look at all the rooms and chose the ones with the best showers. After a day in a germy park, it was exactly what he wanted. As fun as it was, he didn’t want the plague to come home with them.
*
“Okay,” was all Stiles said. “I’ll bite you later.” He flashed Cisco a smile and then went back to looking through his clothes He finally decided on a plaid shirt and pulled it out. “Great, I’m losing you to a giant shower.” He sighed dramatically. “So what are we doing after dinner?” he asked as he pull off his t-shirt and dropped it on the bed.
*
“Coming back here and using this shower again?...But not for showering.” He suggested with a smirk. He slipped into it and shrugged. “Sky’s the limit to what’s open I guess. I hear there’s a bar around here with Disney drinks. Alcohol and then giant shower?” He really wanted to play with the giant shower, okay? “I mean you could “I mean you could always move in here with me.” He’d be disappointed if he didn’t. He slipped into the stream. Disney showers were the best showers.
*
“Ooh, I like that idea. Who knew you had so much kink hiding under all of that innocence.” Getting drunk and having some shower fun sounded like a good idea to Stiles. “Hmm, I don’t know. I wouldn’t want to stay to the point where Disneyland is no fun anymore.” He could have finished getting ready while Cisco took his shower. But, instead, he ended taking a seat on the sink and talking to Cisco. “You know, we can look for a place with a huge shower,” he pointed out. They really hadn’t been looking yet. Maybe they should actually try harder next month.
*
“Years of inactivity to makeup for?” He shrugged as he soaked for a minute before reaching for the towel. “Or you’ve been too good an influence, your choice.” He teased as he stepped out and wrapped it around himself. “It would probably suck to work here year round. I imagine even this would become mundane.” Star wars land and mundane didn’t exactly mix in his head. “Oh, I just remembered there’s a bar in Galaxy’s Edge. Star wars themed drinks?” He grinned as he dried off and reached for his clothes. A smile touched the corner of his lips, he’d been doing that more lately. Him seeing more of Stiles and being happier were synonymous. “Yeah, I’d say it’s a pretty heavy pre req in my books.” It didn’t take long for him to change, but he did slide up while Stiles sat on the sink to kiss him briefly.
*
“Well, when you give me that option, you know I’m going to take credit here.” He seriously doubted he had anything to do with it. Especially when it sounded like Cisco wanted to her nothing about his sex life before. “I would not want to work there. I feel like it would ruin it for me,” he said. “True. But would we really want to use our second reservation in the same day? We could always roam around California Adventures. They have places that serve alcohol.” Seeing Cisco’s smile made Stiles smile. He always hated seeing Cisco being sad, so seeing him smile was the best thing ever. “So, when we look again we’ll look for huge showers.” He kissed Cisco back. And as he did he grabbed the towel. He pulled away and then hopped off of the sink and away from Cisco, pulling the towel off as he did that. “Oops, lost your towel.” He grinned before he playfully smacked Cisco’s ass with said towel and then ran out of the bathroom, laughing.
*
“Probably more of a bad influence actually.” He shrugged with a bit of a laugh. In spite of a couple panic attacks, this had been a perfect vacation. He wasn’t letting them stop him. “Hm...point, I forgot they keep track of us pretty close for that under the thumb of the mouse. You know their security is better than the pentagon?...Not that I’ve tested it but.” He tested it.
Cisco made a sound of surprise as that towel snapped him. “Cheap shot!” He laughed, chasing after him and making a grab for his wrist. Cisco hadn’t had a lot to be happy about lately, but now he was happier than he had been in years.
*
Stiles gasped in mock shock. “I am never a bad influence. You take that back!” It had been pretty fun so far. He was definitely glad he had surprised Cisco with this whole thing or they wouldn’t be here right now. They’d be at home, doing who knew what. “Yeah. I wonder how long they’re gonna keep up with the whole reservation thing.” He tilted his head a little and looked at Cisco. “You totally tried hacking them, didn’t you?”
Stiles just laughed more. “What’s your point?” he asked as he tossed the towel, no clue where it would land. “I don’t think so,” he moved to the right so that Cisco couldn’t grab him. He could have done this forever, but there was only so much room to run around in. So, he ran behind the chair, using it as a shield. “Can’t get me now.”
*
“Maybe while we were in the car on the way up here….” He gave a little shrug like it was no big deal. “If I’d had more time we would have gotten a free upgrade to penthouse.” And if he hadn’t gotten squished by a giant mickey mouse glove upon entry of said attempt, but that was neither here nor there.
As Cisco reached out, a beam of light went straight out from his hand and straight through the chair. It missed Stiles by a long shot but it left scorch marks on the ground behind him. “Oh. That was new?” Cisco looked at his hand as the light faded. There were no marks on him, but the furniture was fucked.
*
Stiles just shook his head at Cisco. “I think we’ve been doing pretty well with the room we have.” They definitely didn’t need anything fancier.
The moment Stiles saw the light, he was ducking. “What the fuck!?” he quickly stood up straight after the beam of light scorched the floor. “Is that new? If so, can you not use it on me ever again!” He did not want to become crispy crittered.
*
“That was...very much new.” He looked over at his hand and it wasn’t burnt, but the chair was. He tried pointing it at something else-but nothing. Cisco gave a shrug. He didn’t know he could do that, but hey new things that didn’t cause him pain. “You okay?” He didn’t see any injury on him.
He stepped a little more casually toward the chair to peer into the hole. The fabric was fucked. “Uh. No idea how to explain that later..” He was then close enough to make another grab for Stiles. Pinning him against that wall behind said chair and grinning. “But that’s later.”
*
“Oh, hey, whoa, put that thing away.” If Cisco got new powers, he should definitely not try them out anymore. Not here. Not now. “Yeah,” he replied as he looked down at himself. No marks. He was fine. “I’m okay. I think you only killed the chair and some of the floor.”
He leaned back down to look at the damage. “Yeah, good luck with that.” If he had been paying a little more attention to what Cisco was doing, he wouldn’t have been caught and pinned up against the wall. “Damn, you got me. Now what are you going to do?”
*
“I didn’t know I could do that. But I think I’m glad I did.” Because now he had Stiles trapped. “...I hadn’t gotten that far. ” There was a glimmer of some of that innocence left. In spite of his being very naked and pinning his new boyfriend. He was suddenly quite aware he was naked, but he fought through those nerves and kissed him. Something a little deeper this time than the one on the counter top.
After a moment, he grinned and broke it. Leaving Stiles completely to go change. As though nothing had happened at all. He went to grab for his clothes with a content smirk.
*
“Could you have found out while not aiming at me?” Stiles didn’t care about the power. He only cared about being fried by it. “There you go again, not thinking ahead,” he half teased with a smile.
When Cisco kissed him, he kissed back. Honestly, they could miss their reservation. Especially if Cisco kept kissing him like that. But it didn’t last and Cisco was walking away. He stared for a moment before saying, “tease!” He pushed himself away from the wall and then grabbed his shirt so he could finish getting dressed.
*
“Apparently not!” He was pretty content to leave Stiles wanting more. It would just be a reminder of what was to come later. “Can’t help it. “ He’d never felt anything like that before with anyone. Someone who made his brain shut off and instincts just take over. He didn’t even know he was capable of doing things like this. He drew a hand down Stiles’ chest as he pulled away and grinned.
“But I mean food. I’m starving. “ He finally dressed in jeans and a tee. Well, this was certainly going to be a vacation that was unforgettable. “You are not food. C’monnnn, The car has been waiting ten minutes now.” He snickered and nudged Stiles toward the door.
*
“Yes you can,” he said with a roll of his eyes. “Your new name is tease.” He looked at Cisco for a moment before laughing. “Hey, you’re the one who keeps messing around.” Yeah, he helped, but it was more fun to blame it all on Cisco. “We could’ve been ready to go forever ago.” At least all he had to do was put a new shirt on. Cisco was the one running around completely nude. “Okay, okay.” He said as he started towards the door. “I’m moving. See.” He opened the door and walked out.
*
“Don’t want to then.” He stuck out his tongue at him and snickered when he was accused of the delay. “Yeah yeah. Move it slow-poke.” He grinned as he shoved him at the door and followed behind making sure that door clicked. It wasn’t long before they were transported to Napa Rose. Most of the customers did seem to be in suits and jackets. Cisco felt admittedly a little out of place, but hed promised fancy! He wanted to take him out. He couldn’t tell if Stiles wanted fancy or dreaded it, or if it was him that dreaded though.
“Right this way Gentlemen.” They were lead to a table, handed menus and everything was in cursive and French. There was an option for snails which Cisco made a face at. “...Does anything look good?” He asked over at Stiles, “ Order what you want. “
*
Disneyland and fancy did not compute. It didn’t feel like they were still on the Disney property. It felt like they were somewhere else completely. Like, he knew there were some fancy places, but he wouldn’t go out of his way to go to them.
Once they sat down, he looked around. Yep, far too fancy for him. Not only that, they were both undressed. He grabbed the menu and started to look it over. “Not yet,” he replied, trying to ignore the crazy prices for everything. “Soooooooo, one of everything then?” he joked, glancing over at Cisco.
*
Cisco gave a low whistle as they walked inside. Looking around at all the people dressed up fancy, he frowned. “Doesn’t even feel like a park anymore.” He wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or bad thing either.
He couldn’t help but pale a little at the price of even just a salad. It alone was about fifteen dollars. “As long as everything is made of gold…” Was that how they justified these prices? Cisco could read some of it, but the rest was all foreign to him. He made a bit of face. “Um. I mean yeah.” He corrected, hoping Stiles didn’t actually want one of everything.
*
“It really doesn’t.” Which was probably the whole point.
“It should be with these prices…” Stiles muttered as he kept staring at the menu. It wasn’t very big, but the crazy ass prices were very off putting. Even though he wasn’t paying for it, it still bugged him. “I was kidding. I don’t even want to know how much one of everything would end up costing.” He was already figuring out that they were gonna spend at least one hundred each for this dinner. “What are you getting?”
*
“Um...I don’t even know. “ A bit of quick math and Cisco came up with a number of how much one of everything in that restaurant would cost. He was presented with a problem, he solved said problem. Then he felt bad inside. Those weren’t fun numbers. He put down the menu for a moment and just looked over at his friend with a little smile. “Maybe we should go someplace else? It didn’t cost anything for the reservation-which is a shocker in it’s own right really.” Cisco was fidgeting with his menu more than he was looking it over. The whole place felt a little off and not just in a rich snotty fun way.
*
“Oh thank god,” Stiles said all but a little too quickly as he set the menu down. “I was thinking the same thing, but I knew you wanted to do this, so I was sucking it up. But, yes, please, let’s get the hell out of here.” He was already standing up. He wanted to get out as quickly as possible.
*
“I do want to take you someplace stupid fancy. But someplace we can read the menus. Or at least not get all these angry vibes.” Maybe it was just a little heightened anxiety he was feeling in the moment, but his knuckles were white as he gripped that menu. “Is it me or is everyone staring at us?” Anxiety was fun. They did sort of stick out like a sore thumb, but nobody was really looking at them at all. They had the place and their time to themselves. Cisco glanced to their side, chewing at his lip as he looked at the menu again to try to regain a point of focus but failed.
*
“I don’t think us and fancy go well together.” That was being proven right now. Stiles glanced around and then looked back at Cisco. “It’s just you, man.” Nobody was really paying them much attention. They were all too busy with their own bubble. “Are we going or are you going to keep staring down at the scary menu?”
*
Cisco was on the verge of an anxiety attack in there. He really didn’t want it happening in that place, but it felt like he couldn’t move. Like it was unavoidable. Finally after what seemed like an eternity he put down the menu and nodded. “Yeah….I’m good, it’s fine. I’m not freaking out at all.” He attempted to tell himself that mainly.
*
Stiles waited and watched Cisco. Something was off again. “Do we need to go back to the room?” If they did, then so be it. He was fine with that. “If so, we can just order room service and do whatever else we want.”
*
“No, I’m good. I just need to get out of here.” He needed his feet to listen. They didn’t want to listen. He closed his eyes for a minute before standing up and quickly heading for the door. “Anywhere but here.” Not a good plan, all the frequencies were off. The energy wasn’t good and he didn’t want to be in the middle anymore. Once they got outside, it was like a weight was lifted. All the energy he felt was left back in that place. “I’m okay. Sorry, it’s a thing. I hate that it’s a thing.” He gave a forced sort of smile and leaned against a brick pillar out of the way of the door for a minute.
*
“Okay.” Once Cisco started to walk out, Stiles followed right along. “Are you sure?” Because from where he was standing, Cisco didn’t look so great. “The social anxiety thing? You don’t have to say sorry to me. I get it. I really do.” His dream self had it. He was just glad it hadn’t crossed over. He didn’t want to deal with that kind of thing. “Are you sure you want don’t want to go back to the room?”
*
“I think so. I didn’t used to deal with it until these powers came along and decided I get to now. I feel frequencies. If they’re off...it’s like something or someone stepping on your neck.” It wasn’t a fun feeling. He didn’t wish it on anyone. “I don’t want to be an inconvenience. And I want to be out with you..just not with all them.” Those people, their ...whatever frequencies, auras, whatever you wanted to call it. He didn’t want to deal with it. He just needed a second to decompress. His hand shook as he touched his face in attempt to rid of the gross feeling he felt through his body.
*
“You’re not being an inconvenience.” He never thought that way. “Okay, well, we can just go find somewhere else to eat. After you’ve collected yourself.” He smiled and then leaned against the wall next to Cisco. “Today has been fun. Even when you tried to fry me with your new power.”
*
Anxiety sucked. He didn’t wish it on anyone. “I wasn’t trying to fry you.” He rolled his eyes as Stiles joined him. He was glad. He wasn’t ready to walk yet. He did however slide a hand over to take Stiles’ own. Just holding it between them. “It has been pretty great. I wanna live in the Falcon. And the lightsaber ceremony was pretty cute.” Cisco was trying not to let his brain melt out of his ears. Stiles talking gave him something to focus on. “Ours are better, but I got suckered into buying two more.” It was part of the show, and there were interactive things.
*
“Suuuure you weren’t,” Stiles teased adding an eye roll to sell the whole thing. “That wasn’t you who held there hand up and did that whole light, power thing?” He wasn’t mad. Still wasn’t mad. He was just having fun teasing Cisco about it all now even though he knew he could have seriously been hurt if the thing had hit him and not the chair. “If you lived in it, then it would get old and boring and would you really want that to happen?” He laced his own fingers with Cisco’s and scooted a little closer to him. “Oh, yeah, you were totally suckered. They were just twisting your arm.” He looked over at Cisco, trying to look serious, but it lasted for like a second before he started to laugh.
*
He liked the fact that they didn’t need to worry about someone maybe spotting them holding hands. They could get to know each other as a couple without any pressure since nobody was there to find them out before they were ready to tell anyone. He could hold Stiles hand and not worry so much about who was around the corner or if they’d be found out. A little smile touched his lips as he moved closer. Cisco was still a bit awkward about initiating things, but this was a good middle ground, and it helped that Stiles didn’t treat him different just because they were together now. He raised an eyebrow at that comment. “As if you don’t like yours.” Free hand giving a little flick to the forehead for all that sass.
*
Stiles didn’t care if anyone saw or found them out. Hell, he still needed to talk to Derek and tell him that they couldn’t mess around anymore. He’ll do that when they’re back at home. He didn’t want anything to spoil the weekend of Disney fun. “Hey, I never said that I didn’t. Ow.” He rubbed at the spot that got flicked. “How are you feeling? Can we go on our food hunt now or do you need a few more minutes?”
*
Cisco was a little more cautious with these things on the other hand. “I’m good. We can go get food.” He gave Stiles’ hand a squeeze as he pulled him away from the wall. There wouldn’t be pressure from Cisco when it came to Derek, if and when Stiles wanted to tell him that would be all him. It wouldn’t be easy, but he’d be there to support him through it.
