Who: Margo Hanson and Eliot Waugh When: Backdated: Early May Where: Fangtasia What: Margo and Eliot spending some much needed BFF time together Rating/Warnings: Family Friendly. Status: Complete
Since they had both begun dating their respective boyfriends, Margo and Eliot hadn’t really spent much time together just the two of them. Even when Roman had left it had still mostly been Margo, Eliot and Felix hanging out together considering the three of them shared the apartment.
It was this lack of one on one best friend time that had led them to decide on a much needed night out sans boyfriends, which was why they were currently sitting at the bar at Fangtasia.

Eliot had made sure to dress for their night out, not quite the same he would for a date with Felix but, more than he would for just a general club run. He wanted attention but not too much. No matter how happy he was with Felix that want for attention was clearly never going anywhere. “Okay so...redhaired bartender?” He asked quietly, trying to draw Margo’s attention to the other end of the bar to get her opinion and rating of them. There was no harm in looking after all.
***
Margo picked up her drink, taking a sip as she glanced towards the bartender in question, “Seven. Her makeup makes it look like she should be working a corner instead of a bar and she’s showing too much cleavage.” She took another sip, “But her hair almost makes up for it all.” Rating people was one of Margo and Eliot’s favorite games.

“Think it’s natural? I can’t see any roots from here but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. I’m shocked that the manager didn’t send her home. You saw the post he made about that other server didn’t you? I almost wish I could have seen the getup that got her sent home that makes this one acceptable.” Eliot said softly. “I was leaning more towards a 5 because of the makeup. There could be something there but it’s hard to tell with everything on top of it.”
***
Margo cocked her head to the side as she took in the bartender’s appearance again, “It’s possible. If not then she must have just colored it.” Red was a hard color to figure out sometimes unless it was fire engine red or really orangey. “Yeah, I think he needs to have a sit down with some of these girls and go over what’s acceptable and what’s not.” Not that Margo was offended by some cleavage, but there was a time and place for too much cleavage and whole she was clearly showing off the goods to try and get better tips, this wasn’t the place for that much.
***
“Now the brunette….I’ll give extra tips to happily. Those jeans...definitely prove it’s possible to be sexy without showing everything.” Eliot said, nodding to the other bartender. Tight jeans. Tight shirt. With just a little bit of cleavage. Perfect. Not Felix level hot in his opinion but hot.
***
“Careful, if she hears you, she might think you’re interested,” Margo smirked and took another sip of her drink then flipped her dark hair over her shoulder as she glanced around the bar for someone else that they could judge, “What about him?” She gestured towards the auburn haired bartender at the other end of the bar, “Is that flannel? I mean, he’s cute, but he definitely needs a makeover.”
***
“And I would hate to disappoint her. But...happily off the market.” Eliot told her with a grin as he caught the bartenders eye and ordered another round as he finished his drink. He followed her gaze and looked him over slowly. “Oh definitely cute in a lumberyard man next door kind of way. I like the beard. But some new clothes would definitely up it I think. You should offer him your services Bambi.” He told her with a little nudge and a wink. He knew she was happy with Roman, and he was happy for her, but he wouldn’t be him if he passed up a chance to tease that way.
***
“And even if you weren’t, she has the wrong equipment for your liking,” When Eliot had first told her about Felix, Margo hadn’t been sure how long it was going to last, because neither her or Eliot were really the relationship types and had spent the majority of their friendship hooking up with various people, but Margo would be lying if she said that she hadn’t been extremely happy when the relationship stuck, because if there was one thing Margo loved among all else, it was seeing Eliot happy.
Margo quirked a brow at Eliot suggestion, “And which services are those? Because if it’s a makeover, I’ll gladly help him, but otherwise, Roman isn’t exactly the sharing type.” Not that Margo would ever entertain the idea of cheating on her boyfriend, because like Eliot meeting Felix, Margo meeting Roman had changed her stance on long term relationships.
***
“There have been exceptions. Well...one exception.” Eliot said with a grin. He didn’t actually remember much of that night but he did remember the next morning waking up in bed with one of their female friends. “But you’re right - not my normal choice when I was single.”
Eliot grinned at her. “Of course I meant a makeover. What else would I possibly be talking about Bambi? Even when we were both single I’d never have tried to talk you into hooking up with someone. Especially not someone I’d probably be trying to claim I’d seen first.”
***
“Lets not go there again. If you recall, she got a little obsessed with you after that,” Margo took another sip of her drink. While other friends would try to set one another up with people, Margo and Eliot tended to keep to themselves at parties or bars and only encouraged each other if one of them saw someone they actually had an interest in, “You think he’d fall for your charms?” She smirked as she glanced back at the bartender, sizing him up a little.
***
“Well can you blame her Bambi? I am fabulous and amazing.” Eliot joked, pulling out a cigarette and playing with it but not lighting it. He just needed something in his fingers right then.
“I think so. I’m very charming. And he...would probably have made all the work worth it. Something about the energy he’s putting off. Very...dangerous.” He said in an almost undertone as he looked over the bartender again. Felix wouldn’t mind too much he figured. Looking wasn’t cheating after all.
***
Margo laughed and took a sip of her drink, “Yes, you are very fabulous and charming. As if I didn’t already know this about you.” Those were only two of the qualities that had drawn Margo to Eliot in the first place, among many other qualities of course, “Dangerous, huh?” Margo quirked a brow as she glanced back at the bartender, “How dangerous can he be in flannel?” There was definitely something about the bartender, but she didn’t know if she’d go with dangerous.
***
"I was thinking about out of that flannel actually. Imagine him in a t-shirt and see if that makes it any easier to picture." Eliot said with a little shrug.
***
Margo cocked her head to the side slightly and narrowed her eyes at the bartender, trying to imagine what Eliot saw, “I guess I can kind of see it.” She turned back to Eliot, “I still don’t know just how dangerous he could be though.” He just didn’t give off the danger vibe that Eliot was somehow picking up.
***
Eliot gave her a smile as she turned back to him. “Well...I would say we could find out but I don’t think our boyfriends would like it too much if we got in trouble at a bar. Plus...you know I don’t want bruises on my face.” He said as he drained his drink. “I’m a lover not a fighter after all.” Even if he had a sneaking suspicion that he could use magic to put it in his favor in most instances. If the other person didn’t have magic he thought he could. Probably.
***
“No, I don’t think that they would,” Margo laughed at Eliot’s comment and gestured for one of the bartenders so that they could get new drinks, “At least with magic we’d have the advantage.” She didn’t think that they would have to do any physical fighting if, for whatever reason, they did try to test Eliot’s theory. “One more drink then we move on to another bar?”
***
“One more drink then on to the next. See if we can’t find someone for you to mentally undress.” Eliot teased her as he raised his refilled glass in her direction before taking a sip.
