Well. No convincing really. It was suggested and he accepted and here they were. As frustrating as he could be, she still always found herself content and happy when he was around. It was like she felt a bit more complete, and had no idea why.
And then she had a dream. It was the most intense dream she'd had since she'd started revisiting her past life. It was full of emotions, and how could it not? She'd dreamed of her marriage. Her marriage to Anakin. And she knew, just knew, that Anakin had always known this. Was that why he kept her at an arm's length? That he refused to let her any closer even though he clearly seemed to want it?
When he called out to her, she debated pretending to be asleep, but he would know. He always knew.
Instead of answering, she got up. She'd fallen asleep in her clothes, a pair of yoga pants and a t-shirt. Grabbing one of the blankets, she threw it around her shoulders, and came outside. Anakin was sitting and she felt her heart catch in her throat. Was this a residual dream emotion or was it real? No wonder he always seemed torn.
"It's colder than I thought it would be," she said, sitting down next to him. "Aren't you cold?"
Yes. Weather was a safe topic. Much safer than discussing their wedding.
