Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Felix and Cosima
What: Cosima telling Felix about something bad that happens in their Dreams.
When: This evening
Where: Cosima and Jemma's apartment
Warnings: Talk of dream character death

This wasn’t exactly a conversation she wanted to have with Felix, but she felt that she should warn him. Cosima had dreamt something bad, namely Siobhan dying, and she’d initially been waffling on whether or not to tell Felix about it. She’d asked Jemma for some advice, considering Skye was here and those two shared the same dream universe. Cosima had mulled over the advice and everything in the dreams, and ultimately concluded that she should probably tell Felix about it so he could prepare for it. Siobhan’s death was a far different situation than anything else that had happened in their dreams, and she felt he had to know.

There was also the added note that Cosima was really terrible at keeping that sort of information secret for very long. So she’d invited Felix over so they could talk somewhere private. She didn’t know how he’d react, but she knew this wasn’t a conversation to have in a public area. She’d also gotten a bottle of vodka in the event he needed some stiff drinks after hearing what she had to say. She waited for him to arrive, trying not to be a complete wreck about it. She was only semi-failing, but she was anxious and pacing while waiting for Felix to arrive.

When Cosima invited Felix over, the last thing he’d thought was that it was to tell him something about the dreams. As far as he was expecting, she had invited him over to hang out and he was prepared to tell her all about his and Eliot’s trip to the Bahamas for Valentine’s Day. His tan alone was evidence enough that he’d had a good time, but he wanted to tell Cosima all about it.

Reaching Cosima & Jemma’s apartment, Felix knocked at the door and waited.

Cosima swallowed some momentary panic when she heard the knock. Felix didn’t tend to take things as poorly as Sarah did, but Cosima knew he’d take what she had to tell him pretty hard. After all, Siobhan had raised him. It was hard enough for Cosima to take given everything Siobhan had done for them after the clone thing had been discovered.

Still, she took a deep breath and answered the door. “Hey Felix,” she greeted, putting on a smile. “You look like you got a really good tan there.” She was happy to see him, but she couldn’t completely mask the look that something was wrong in her face. She totally had the worst poker face like that.

“I did. I was surprised that I didn’t burn,” Felix couldn’t help but grin at the compliment. Considering how pale Felix normally was, he usually had a high tendency to burn in the sun, but somehow he’d managed to get a fairly nice tan with very little pink or red. He supposed it paid to have someone with him who could help him apply sunscreen. “Are you alright?” Felix had known Cosima long enough, both in the waking world and the dream world, to know when something was possibly bothering her.

“Clearly you used good sunblock.” Cosima noted with a little smile. Though she was rather impressed given how pale he typically was. The same could be said of Jemma. Cosima was pale herself, but she didn’t go from pale to burned typically. “Ah...sort of? I mean...I dreamt something a little while ago, something that you’ll get to. I spent a while trying to decide if I should tell you or not, and I finally decided warning you about something that will happen in our dreams might be the better approach. So, make yourself comfortable first.” She led him over to the living room. She had the vodka and two glasses set out for them, a clear sign that this definitely wasn’t going to be good news.

Felix brows rose as he followed Cosima into the living room and took in the layout in front of him, “Well that doesn’t sound bloody ominous at all.” Sitting down, he reached for the vodka and filled the glasses, taking a sip from one of them, “So what’s this thing that you dreamt about? If you’re supplying me with vodka, I’m guessing it’s not good.” Considering his last set of dreams had included Kendall’s death, Cosima almost putting a bot in her face and Sarah spiraling, he couldn’t imagine what else could happen aside from all of them dying horribly.

Well, it wasn’t as horrible as all of them dying horribly, but it was still pretty bad. Cosima sat down and took a steadying breath. “Yeah, it’s not good. I don’t really know how to preface this, so I’ll just come out and say it. Siobhan died, though she went out in a fight and took the other guy with her.” So it was basically how she pictured Siobhan’s death. Maybe it wasn’t ideal, but she didn’t go down without a fight, which was very much her style. And Cosima was trying to remember if Felix knew who Ferdinand was yet from where he was in the dreams.

Felix’s eyes widened slightly at Cosima’s words, but if he were completely honest, he wasn’t exactly surprised. Surprised or not though, it still hurt to think about something happening to his foster mother, “At least she took the prick down with her,” He brought his glass to his lips and downed the contents of his glass then refilled it.

“Yeah, I’d have been disappointed if she hadn’t taken him down with her.” Sure, Ferdinand had actually helped them at one point, but he was too much under Rachel’s foot to actually help them long term. “I know it’s hard to hear, but I wanted to give you a heads up. None of us were there, so don’t worry about having to have seen it? If that’s any consolation.” It had been bad enough for Cosima to have been there when Kendall had died. She couldn’t imagine how any of them, especially Felix and Sarah, would’ve reacted if they’d been there when Siobhan had died.

Thank god for that. Seeing Mrs. S like that would probably give Felix nightmares that were worse than the ones he already occasionally had as a result of the dreams. “Thanks for letting me know. It couldn’t have been easy to decide whether to do that or not.” There were some things, when it came to the dreams that just needed to be shared before someone else got there if possible. “I’m glad Sarah won’t have to go through this.” He took a sip from his glass.

Their dream world may not have things like a zombie apocalypse or alien invasions, but human experimentation and human cloning was more than enough for nightmare fodder. There were things in the dreams that had left Cosima scarred, but so long as they didn’t kill them? She’d take it as making her stronger. “You’re welcome. And it wasn’t. I asked Jemma for advice, actually, considering she has a friend here that dreams the same things she does. But in the end, I felt this was something I should warn you about.” She took a sip of her drink and nodded. “God, me too. It’s bad enough that I did and that you will.” She missed having Sarah around, but there were definitely things that her sister didn’t have to dream about. Siobhan’s death being one of them.

“Of course, if Sarah ever comes back, we’ll have to decide whether or not to tell her things before she gets to them,” There was a lot of stuff too so they’d have to decide which things were the more important ones and of course Mrs. S dying was definitely at the top of that list, “But until that happens, I don’t plan on mentioning a word of this to her.” Felix finished off his drink, “We should go visit them soon though.” Now that Eliot and Margo had figured out how to enchant a door to a pub in England, traveling there would be much easier and quicker than flying.

“Yeah, we’ll have to make a list. But this one is definitely something she should know.” Really, that list would go for any Clone Club member. While Cosima would like more of Clone Club around, she really wouldn’t wish parts of these Dreams on any of them. “Yeah, good call there. I wouldn’t breathe any word to her either.” It would be difficult, of course, just given Cosima’s nature, but she could manage. “We should! I’d love that.” She managed a smile. “Do you want another glass?” She asked, picking up the bottle, ready to pour him one if he wanted.

Felix nodded, “A list sounds like a good idea. That way we’ll know exactly which points to highlight first.” Felix too wished that there was more of their Clone Club around, Helena and Alison especially. “Then we’ll have to pick a weekend or something and make sure she’s free. Traveling by magic door is bloody brilliant.” A grin spread across Felix’s full lips and he nodded in response to her question, “I’d love more. Thanks.”

“Exactly.” The only person that Cosima wouldn’t feel the need to warn about anything would be Rachel. Unless Rachel was actually a nice person in this world, but if that was the case Cosima would forever be traumatized by that change. And probably think it was some sort of trap. “It’s definitely awesome, and is a good thing to have until technology can give us the teleporters from Star Trek.” Considering she didn’t think Kirk was going to share that technology, otherwise she’d totally have it set up in her apartment so she and Jemma could instantly go from here to work. “You’re welcome,” she responded with a smile and refilled his glass. Cosima also seriously hoped that that was the last piece of Terrible News she’d have to tell Felix about their dreams. She felt they were coming to a conclusion soon, but she didn’t know if it would end well for them or not.
