This would have been gross under any other circumstances, but Alex had accepted that Damon was a vampire some time ago. At least he wasn't a murderer. He was mad, he was addicting, he was an enigma that Alex couldn't stop trying to piece the puzzles to; but Damon, to Alex's knowledge, didn't seem to care about taking lives.
Keep it together was the only thing that really troubled Alex. It was sad to hear, like someone who needed a drink or a drug to function during the day. "Do you ever wish you weren't?" Alex asked.
