Barry had woken up before his alarm on his phone went off. And he was about to sit up when it registered that there was somebody laying next to him. No, not just next him. The person had their arm slung around his middle and they were practically holding him like he was their own personal teddy bear. He had no idea who it could be. He hadn’t gone anywhere last night. He hadn’t invited anyone over. So who in the hell was in his bed with him? Whoever it was, it was a male bc that arm did not belong to a female. He carefully got out of bed and once he had he quickly turned around to see who the stranger was. “What…?” He recognized who it was. It was that guy from the crime scene, the dead body out in the field...Cisco. What the hell was he doing here and in Barry’s bed? There was only one way to find out. “Hey,’ he said as he reached over and gave Cisco a light shake of the shoulder. “Wake up.” * Bed had gotten a lot warmer. Cisco wasn’t sure why, but he didn’t argue it either. He was exhausted after a day of testing his abilities with Jemma the day before. The warmth was nice, and only helped deepen his sleep. His arm was comfortably around Barry, unaware that it was a person he was curled with and not just Oreo or something. He wasn’t exactly awake enough to determine why the warmth. He was a heavy sleeper. He burrowed against him contently, only shifting slightly as the warmth left his grip. His arm landed gently beside him where the indentation of another human had been. He curled into that warmth. He didn’t budge at the initial voice, he was clearly content to just go back to bed until that obnoxious shaking happened. “No it isn’t breakfast time Oreo.” He whined and pushed the hand away. Oreo didn’t have hands. Dark eyes cracked open to see another human beside him. So many questions in his eyes he didn’t have the words for. “Barry?” What happened last night? He rubbed a hand on his face in attempt to wake up a bit more as he sat up in a bed that wasn’t his It was bigger than his was. --- “Oreo?” he asked, eyebrow raised. Who in the hell was Oreo and why did this guy think that he was getting woken up by this Oreo? “There is no Oreo here, wake up.” If had to go and get a cup of cold water to dump on Cisco, he would. Because shaking him and telling him to wake up didn’t seem to be working. And just when Barry thought about going through with it, that’s when Cisco finally opened his eyes. “I have no idea,” he replied as he watched Cisco finally sit up. “I was about to ask you the same question but you seem as confused as I am.” Which wasn’t a good thing at all because now neither one of them had any idea who Cisco ended up in Barry’s bed. * Tired, irritated eyes met the face of the obnoxious voice disrupting his sleep cycle. He looked downward then at himself, he was still clothed so he doubted anything weird sexually had happened. Besides, that voice sounded way too familiar to-oh my god, it was definitely Barry. He’d woken up in Barry’s bed, and suddenly it was like words had escaped him. He’d been about to explain who Oreo was when he found himself without a voice to do so. He just stared. Cisco wasn’t even in Pajamas. He was still wearing the same clothes from the night before, and not naked. Those were two good signs. Though, Barry wouldn’t be so bad to end up naked with. He just hoped if that ever happened he’d be waking up to him a lot less annoyed sounding. He reached out a hand to touch him to see if he was actually real, and he was solid. Cisco figured him to be real. “We didn’t have sex did we? I mean I’d think I’d remember..but…” Were they both extremely drunk? “I didn’t go to a bar last night, did you?” A guy who wore a shirt with t-rex on it was definitely not the most bar centric guy. He pushed some dark hair from his face and Tried to ease the wild frizz. --- Barry took a step back and moved Cisco’s hand away before he ended up grabbing something that he shouldn’t be grabbing. And then that question came out of Cisco’s mouth. “What?” He was shaking his head no at the question. “We most definitely did not have sex.” If they had both woken up naked then he might question it. Maybe. But they were both clothed and he was pretty sure nothing sexual happened between the two of them. “I didn’t go anywhere last night. I came straight home after work.” Okay, so they’ve both established that they hadn’t gone anywhere last night. So how in the hell did they end up in bed together? “What do you remember about last night?” * Cisco raised an eyebrow, his hand falling tiredly back by his own side as he frowned a bit. “Well at least there’s that.” He made a face as he looked around at temporary new home. This wasn’t exactly how he’d intended to meet Barry. He wanted to sure, but he didn’t want to freak him out-and he was pretty sure this was exactly that. “Sometimes this city does things. Like snows in Los Angeles. Maybe this is one of those things?” He explained as he sat up a bit further in attempt to wake up. One would think he’d be plenty awake after waking up with a near stranger, but whatever. It was early. Cisco wasn’t used to early. --- When the alarm went off, Barry almost jumped out of his skin. He had forgotten about the stupid thing. He quickly turned it off and then looked back at Cisco. “I know…” Lucky him, he never really had to deal with it. Until today. “I don’t get why it would shove you into my bed. What’s the point?” * Barry wasn’t the only one who cringed, Cisco had too. They were both on edge, Cisco wasn’t exactly excited about the situation either. He frowned “How should I know?” There were two options he was seeing. He could go home, or lay back down. And right then he chose to lay back down because fuck it. It was early, and it was Barry. He still trusted him even if Barry didn’t hold him to the same standards yet. He was tired. “All I can think of is it’s trolling me, but it doesn’t work that way I don’t think...I could be wrong, but..” He trailed off. Cisco was keeping his eyes open at least, but he’d gotten pretty comfortable again. He chose not to elaborate on it trolling him, maybe it knew he was interested in men and thus is dream besties bed was prime choice, who knew. --- “I don’t know,” he said with a sigh. He knew one thing for sure, though. He didn’t have to mess around. He needed to start getting ready for work. And it looked like Cisco wasn’t going to get up anytime soon. Barry will deal with Cisco after he showers. For now, his new bedmate can stay put. “Why would it be trolling you?” Barry asked as he walked over to the dresser and then the closet, grabbing the clothes he would be wearing today. “Have you been screwing with the universe lately or something?” It was pretty clear that Cisco had no idea what was going and Barry had no clue either. “I hope you know that you’re staying in my bed all day. I have to go to work soon,” he told Cisco as he started to head out of the bedroom. * “I foiled a plan or two of it’s lately.” He admitted sleepily as he moved to rest an arm under his head and watched Barry get up through tired eyes. He let those eyes close as Barry began to dig for clothes to wear for the day. Everything seemed normal, beyond his sudden appearance in Barry’s bed so he ignored it. Even curled up a little and got comfortable. “There are worse places to end up” He gave a smirk as he hijacked one of the pillows Barry had been using a moment ago and began to curl up with it. Much to his chagrin as Barry left the room, something yanked him straight off the bed and into the wall where he’d hit his head on the wall. A yelp of pain escaped him before he could stop it. The further Barry moved away, the more pain followed. He literally couldn’t stay there. When Barry took another step toward his shower, Cisco’s entire body ended up on the floor and he coughed a bit as the wind was knocked out of him. --- Barry stopped for a moment and stared at Cisco. He had been kidding when he said what he said. “If the universe is listening, you better not say that out loud. Tomorrow, you might wake up in a worse place.” Barry was seriously going to drag Cisco out of the bed. Just not right now. Once in the bathroom, Barry paused for a moment when an odd feeling started form around his middle but then it stopped. So he just shrugged it off and started to walk over to the shower to turn it on but that’s when the feeling happened again and he heard the giant thud coming from his bedroom. “Cisco!” he called out as he quickly made his way back to the bedroom. The second he saw Cisco on the floor, he quickly made his way over and down beside him. “Are you okay?” * Cisco had formed a fist, trying to grip at the floor to get up- but he found nothing to grip at. Instead he was forced only closer to Barry’s bathroom, in the middle of the doorway where he held on until he fell again. He’d bitten at his lip and a little blood trailed down from it. “Fuck!” He swore, startled as he began to sit up a bit more on his knees gasping for air when Barry came to his side. “What the hell is going on?” Obviously a little more than freaked out, but when Barry appeared that pulling sensation eased up. “Yeah, yeah I think so.” Beyond being afraid that little bit of blood nothing else visibly wrong could be seen. He wasn’t having a seizure or anything of that nature. He raised his hand to wipe it away and blinked a few times to regain his bearings. “You left, and I fell. Hard. Did you fall?” He began to stand again, a confused glance toward the other man. --- That seemed to be the million dollar question today. What in the hell was going on? First Cisco appeared in his bed for no reason and now this, whatever this was. He only felt it and heard it. He had no idea what happened to Cisco while he was in the bathroom. Barry couldn’t help but give Cisco a quick look over. Nothing seemed wrong. Just the bit of blood on Cisco’s lip and the somewhat scared look on his face. But other than that, he seemed fine. “No, but it felt like something was tightening around my middle and started to pull me back. But that’s when I heard you hit the floor.” He helped Cisco stand and gave him another quick glance over. “Are you sure you’re okay?” * He hadn’t broken anything, nothing too bad had happened at least in that regard. He was just shocked mostly. Who wouldn’t be getting thrown around like that? “...I think I have to go with you. I felt it. Obviously.” He gave a little laugh at the stupidity of that sentence and brushed himself off a bit. Barry’s concern was familiar and it made him pause for a moment to nod. “Yeah...I’m okay. Really.” This time he paused a little less strangely, he didn’t stare as awkwardly he was just appreciative He gave a little smile and accepted the help up. “Thanks.”. It was weird for them both. “I know you need to get ready, maybe whatever this is will let me stand outside the bathroom. “ As much as he wanted to spend time with him, some things needed to remain a mystery. --- “I think you might be right.” As much as Barry didn’t want it to be because it was really going to make things both weird and difficult. How is he going to explain Cisco being at his job? He’ll think of a reason later. “I do need to get ready, but first I think we need to see how far we can actually go before one of us is saying hello to the floor.” He placed his hands on Cisco’s shoulders and guided him over to the night stand and said, “stay there.” He let go and then started to walk out of the bedroom and down the hallway. When that familiar tug started again, he stopped and turned around, looking down the hallway and at Cisco who was still in his bedroom. “That’s, what…” he calculated how far they could get before the horrible feeling started. “About fifteen feet before the weird feeling starts?” * Cisco gave Barry an awkward and apologetic smile as he nodded to that. “I’d really rather it not be me again.” He gave him a nudge as he shook his head in mild amusement and motioned toward the door as if to give him the go ahead to try it, but cautiously. “Just about. Take another step.” He gripped at the door frame in attempt to keep himself from hitting the floor a third time. It wasn’t a fun feeling. He grit his teeth a bit as that feeling became only stronger. “That enough for a shower? What if I step back?” He did just that, carefully stepping away from the door frame in Barry’s room. ---- Barry didn’t want to hit the ground and he didn’t want Cisco to hit the ground again, which was why they needed to see how far they could get from one another before that annoying tugging feeling became too much. “Okay.” He took another step and the feeling started to become too much. He started to walk towards Cisco once again. “As long as you hang out in the hallway, I think we’ll both be fine while I shower.” And he’ll do the same if Cisco wanted to take one as well. “Here,” he grabbed his laptop from off of his dresser and handed it to Cisco. “Entertain yourself while I get ready.” And with that said, he went back into the bathroom so that he could start getting ready for work. * Neither of them ended up on the floor this time, okay. This was better. It could be worse, he could have ended up with someone who wanted to see him on his face. At least he’d ended up with Barry. Barry wasn’t an assshole. And well, he supposed now he was not going to have much choice but to get to know him so it kind of worked out in the end. As he was handed a laptop he gave him a curious eyebrow raise. “Right, sure. I mean I could just go with you. Save some time.” He smirked, obviously teasing. Well, half teasing as he took said laptop under his arm. “Got any clothes I can borrow? Or are we going shopping later?” He didn’t care either way. --- Barry stared at Cisco for a moment before saying, “Umm, no.” He would be showering alone today. “I might. I don’t know how well they’ll fit. We could always drop by your house and grab you some clothes.” He figured they would need to do that at some point in the day or Cisco was going to end up running around naked until the invisible bond between them went away. “Okay, I’ll try to be quick,” he told Cisco and then headed back into the bathroom so he could get ready for work...again. |
