The previous morning had been a rush of emotions between waking up from a dream where seven years had passed with her siblings all separated, and then having to find Hayley and breaking things off with Keelin just when she'd been ready to finally put herself first (and research how to bring her siblings together somewhere other than New Orleans) because "I can't love you and love my family at the same time." But beyond confusing Klaus with a random hug first thing in the morning and then reaching out to Evie to make sure she didn't listen if Freya tried that here... her day had been normal, with the mental note to check on the others. But with work as it was between the UN and Pimpernel Outreach, she hadn't gotten around to it.
And then it was another dream. Simple. She didn't even know if it could be considered the very tail end of the one she had, or just snippet of whatever would happen next. A phone call from Klaus saying that they had lost Elijah. Even with the Mikaelsons spread across the globe, they had at least been able to talk and face time with one another. All except for Elijah, who had been compelled to forget their bonds so that he wouldn't rush in to try and stop their brother from his destructive habits and give the Hollow more power and be a risk to Hope. But with Hayley taken, they had thought.....
Waking from the dream, it was hard to say if the feeling that was propelling Freya to go see her brother came from that or if it was the sense she got when she was needed. Usually it happened the night before and she'd just end up staying with whichever sibling ended up needing her saving them via magic thanks to the Dreams. Whatever the reason was though, the witch wasn't going to question it and instead just got up and ready, grabbed what she needed and left the house she shared with Klaus.
On the way, Freya made sure to stop by and get coffee for both her and Elijah - proper French coffee because Elijah was a man of refined tastes even as a vampire and then arrived at his aparment and knocked.
No answer. Which was a bad sign seeing at how he had vampire hearing and would have known she was there before she had the chance to knock. There of course was always the possibility he wasn't home because of work or a date or whatever, but Freya's instincts said that he was and so she was worried.
Okay then. Digging for the key she had to his apartment, Freya let herself in, senses alert as she looked around.
"Elijah....? Is everything okay?"
With the amount of things that happened to him in the Dreams, it could be anything and Freya at least had her magical 'go-bag' just in case.
